Well, Warner Bros., you know when you can shove your family tentpole, because I certainly won't be going to watch this movie, or buy the DVD - I'll tape it off the TV.
I support this petition because warnerbros shouldn't have had any right to move the date back after already releasing it. I'm sorry, but moving the movie back 8 MONTHS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE I REFUSE TO WAIT ITS NOT POSSIBLE DON'T TOUCH THE STUPID RELEASE DATE!
I support this petition.
In fact, I beyond support this competition.
This is sheer cowardice and greediness. I am disappointed, angered, and nauseated by the Warner Bros corporation for manipulating their fans and their market. This release change has been well known to them, I am sure, for some time. It is cowardice in the face of The Dark Knight, and probably a shameful cover for Steve Kloves disgusting return as head writer--by that point in release time, no one will be able to complain in time for a change for Deathly Hallows.
I cannot believe this. I will not be participating in this film as I had previously been so looking forward to.
JK Rowling and her fans are heartily ashamed of you. Change it back.
I support this petition.
you have officially destroyed my life.
i may have to boycott the film now,
(obviously not because i love it so much) but still
i am soo not happy
I support this petition. This is the most disgusting act of avarice I've seen in a long time. It's too bad Warner Brothers makes movies for themselves and not the millions of people wanting to watch them. WB boycott starts...now.
This is an absolute outrage. I do not posess enough anger in my whole body to appropriately respond to this change. I support this petition wholeheartedly.
I support this petition. To sit on it for so long, ADMITTING that you're only doing it to fill a hole in your crappy lineup of movies, is appalling and rude to the fans you rely on.
I support this petition. Postponing the release of the movie is ridiculous. WB is slowly losing more and more fans due to their recent rampage of poor choices.
I support this petition. I cannot believe this! We have been waiting forever to see this movie, and now their pushing it back just to make moe money!? I mean us HP fans will go see it no matter what time a year..put it back in Dec! Or are you scared of Twilight???
I support this petition.
Ludacris!!! It will be 2 years since Order of the Phoenix if they wait to release it July 2009. Thats insaine plus it has already been advertised with a November 21, 2008 release date and its just so wrong to change it so close to the original release date.
How dare WB change the release date at such a late time. This is BS. There's no reason for it, especially since they JUST released a trailer that says "November 2008."
This is MADNESS!!!!! Those people are CRAZY!!! They should have AT LEAST told us this an YEAR ago!!!
This petition wouldn't help but I'm signing it from ANGER INSIDE ME D:
I support this petition.
Now you've gotten all your fans excited by releasing trailers and you're going to take that away?! Be warned for the angry mob. Reeeeeeal bad PR.
Harry Potter Box Office Grosses (Domestic)
Sorcerers Stone - 317 million
Chamber of Secrets - 261 million
Prisoner of Azkaban (SUMMER RELEASE!) - 249 million
Goblet of Fire (NOV RELEASE!) - 290 million
Order of the Phoenix - 292 million
This is stupid to make us wait another year. It will make just as much money over the Christmas holidays as it will over the summer 2009 season.
Besides, summer usually has tougher competition and Harry Potter doesn't hold up to it because Warner Brother's hacks up the story.
So, do yourself a favor, keep your fanbase happy and just release the film on the original intended date!
I support this petition. This release date change just confuses me. Basically WB decided to change the release date so they can make more money?!?! So ridiculous. And why such a long wait??? It's only going to make fans angrier with them...
WARNER took their failing to a whole new level. They're not satisfied with how bad WB's Blu-ray usually look so to angry Blu-ray owners they decided to add angry cinema visitors... I wonder what they'll come up with next? Judging by their greed it will probably be commercial during movie 7...
