I support this petition. This is ridiculus. WB made us wait all summer for the teaser trailer, and now this. They have never waited 2 years between films before, and now they just ticked off millions of HP fans. Good job, Warner Brothers.
We have waited so long for this move, and I can't even begin to imagine waiting more than another school year for this film. if they postpone this officially I AM NOT GOING TO SEE THE MOVIE because if they think that they're gonna get more money JUST BECASUE ITS SUMMER they are out of their minds!
Words cannot explain how dissapointed I am. Why would they do this WHEN THE FILM IS ALREADY FINISHED?????? Now I have to wait almost a whole year for this because Warner Bros. can't get their act toghther. I'm outraged!
Warner Brothers' actions is an absolutely disgusting display of greed. They are completely taking advantage of the fans who BUILT and SUSTAIN the Harry Potter franchise. I would rather re-read book 6 than support a studio that spits in the faces of it's fans.

I support this petition. I believe it is a huge mistake to release hbp in July. We only had 3 months until it was released and now this gets dropped on us. WB is being real foolish in my opinion. I was so pumped to watch it in November, especially since it was my favorite book in the series but if they choose to keep it for July then I for one will not see it in theaters. WB may very well lose many fans (me included if they do this.) How can they just release the awesome trailer and then say "Oh well now everyone has to wait 11 months to see it." Thanks for the slap in the face WB.

I can't believe that Warner Brothers would do this to Harry Potter fans that have been waiting for this movie!!!! They would have made just as much money around Christmas time as in the summer. It's really crazy what greed will do to people!!!

No Matter what you think this may and will make some fans not go see it and wait till it comes out on DVD...Let it be shown in November. I support this petition. I would like to tell WB that this is absolutely ridiculous and that you have lost all of my respect for WB as a production company. I have waited since the moment that the 5th movie ended in theaters in anticipation for an amazing 6th movie. I hope that you seriously reconsider your decision to move the movie. I cannot see, from a fan's perspective, less people going to see the movie in November than in July. Please, for the fans that have supported the entire phenomenon since its creation, DO NOT MOVE THE RELEASE DATE TO JULY 17TH! Also, I believe that you should give a detailed explanation for your decision to move the movie, out of respect for the fans. You previous press release still left the fan-base with many questions. I hope you have a good strategy of how to keep out interest until July, we're going to need some amazing trailers, sneak peeks, images, interviews, etc to pull this move off. Beware of what can come with this move, you are upsetting more people than you can imagine.

I work in business, and I am sick of executives, board members, CEOs / CFOs making decisions like this, just so they can line their wallets with 15% more profits or whatever the amount is.
Thing's like this need to stop; it is getting ridiculous. WB, if you are reading this I ask of you to do the "right" thing and push forward the release date back to this year of 2008. Summer of 2009 will not do anything for you, but piss of loyal fans. I for one will NOT go see this movie if you, Warner Bros., choose to release this next summer of July 2009.
The idea that WB would push back the opening of a film for monetary gain when it's a guarantee that fans everywhere will be devastated is absolutely appalling.
