Once again, Warner Bros. has shown that they care more about their almighty dollar than the fans. Shouldn't they realize by now that an HP movie will generate millions of dollars, no matter when it's put out? WB, get with the program!!! Give us back our November date!!!
This is utterly ridiculous. They want to do this to make more money (or "take advantage of the summer movie market" as they put it) but this is just going to piss people off, and completely mess up their plans.
I support this petition. This news actually made me both cry and get angry. I had been counting down days until the movie release for months. Just when we're getting really close, with the Teaser out and less than 100 days to go, the release gets moved to July?! I don't really see a truly valid reason for this, especially when they've admitted that it's essentially just to sell more tickets. The movie itself is essentially complete and would be ready for release on the original date. So, what? The money they'll make already isn't enough and they need to try to capitalize on the sopposedly larger summer audiences? I understand the strike was hard but this is NOT the way to get profits back up. It'll just make people angrier.

You could have at least done us the courtesy of lying to us, instead of flaunting it that it is only done for a money making purpose because you think because Dark Knight made 800 billion dollars, that Harry Potter will because it's the same weekend. You can thank Heath Ledger for the huge pay day that Dark Knight is getting and NO ONE ELSE! Unless you have a huge star die that gets all kinds of press and then puts up an oscar winning performance, this movie isn't going to do what Dark Knight did. Why don't you go eat fried chicken every day before work like Wade Boggs or go throw some salt over your shoulder. No production snags? Just money! You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Money won't be gained in postponing this movie, especially since the trailer has already been released. I'm sure that millions of dollars will be lost. Nice going guys.

I support this petition. The reason they gave for pushing back the release date is ridiculous. As others have said, if it was due to a delay for shooting or editing, okay, but that is not the case here! Changing the date so dramatically just because they are guessing that they could get more people in the summer is hardly a reason! Honestly, Harry Potter is so well known that people will go see it ANY time of year! They must know that!

I support this petition. Unless your guys have some valid reason.. like maybe doing something to make it match the book and not leave everyones favorite parts out...this makes no sense. trust me, its going to make money no matter when its realeased.
