I could barely even wait for this movie to come out in november. Now it's pushed back eight months? This is insulting to hardcore fans -- at least half of your audience. And this is a stupid move.
I support this petition. I feel very hurt. I have put my faith in WB for the previous films and now they do this. They should have asked the fans what they wanted first!
I don't understand how a release date in July would be better than November in terms of the money to be made on it. Being in November will NOT stop the fans (and others alike) from going! The reason that the Order of the Phoenix had box office records last July was because of the release of the Deathly Hallows book a week later! It was Harry Potter mania then, and WILL be regardless of the time of year.. The Half Blood Prince better be one heck of a movie!! =)
This is an OUTRAGE, WB. Come on, there are fans waiting to see this movie and all you care about is a summer release for some extra cash! I guess that's business for you. Release HP 6 in November and let the fans enjoy it!

Okay...this is just ridiculous. They're blaming the success of 'Dark Knight', saying they don't need more money this year. They're blaming the writer's strike.
...REALLY?! Seriously, guys...we were promised a fall '08 release. It's totally not fair to bump it back to next summer so close to the initial release date.
I support this petition. Okay, the main reason why the fifth movie did so well at the box office was because the seventh and final book came out a WEEK later! Therefore, interest in Harry Potter was at its peak!
I support this petition. This is ridiculous. It's one thing if you decide to delay the movie a few weeks or even a month or two, but to delay the release for eight months?!? Ridiculous. Especially so close to the original release date.
You must know how angry this has made people? Kloves was worried that people may no longer be as interested in the films - now you've taken a step in that direction. People who are annoyed are just going download it instead of going to the cinema. Poor form, WB.
