This is a really Stupid move on WB's part. Less that 100 days until it was supposed to be released and then they decide to change it. GREEDY RETARDS! I so support this petition!!!!!!!
WB has a public relations disaster on its hands. It'd be one thing to postpone a movie for understandable reasons--the death of a principal actor, production problems beyond one's control, etc--but to postpone it because the studio thinks it'll make more money in the summer is ludicrous: the marketing department has lost its senses. Harry Potter fans will see this movie whenever it comes out, as will the general public. Shifting it to next summer won't translate to more dollars--in fact, if fans boycott the film, it will mean less. Does Warner really want a boycott on the order of the one the Christians mounted against the Philip Pullman movie, THE GOLDEN COMPASS?

It's not fair how you can throw out so many people's feelings for money. We've been waiting for this for a year already we shouldn't have to wait one more for a movie that was promised to us in three months
Now everything is because WGA strike... Come on people, are you serious. WB wants to maximmize profit as long as they can, now that the saga has ended with the books. I think you worry too much: Harry Potter will continue selling even after the movies. No more to say... oh, just:

I personally think that changing the premere date of this movie, this close to the actual date is unfair to that Harry Potter fans. We've all been waiting for this fora long time. It's not right. It's simply injustice and you need to change the date back to what it originally was. Otherwise, you'll be responsible for some problems that may arise.
This is so ridiculous! There is no reason that they should be releasing it like this, getting fans all worked up and pushing it back for 6 more months for no reason! Please don't do this to us!

I support this petition. I'm all for a company maximizing its profits but betraying a fan base such as the Harry Potter one, just because you can, is idiocy.

I support this petition totally!! I agree with Jackie Mikos. It was only 100 days out then u had to f it up & push it back 8 months! I think fans would like a 2yr break between HBP & the DH films. I know I do.
I support this petition. Please reconsider this ill advised change. It is bad enough that the studio is breaking the final book into two movies, but the reasons given for this are simply unbelievable.

if WB made all that money from the dark knight whats the point of moving it a year away, if people r fans of harry potter there is no point to move it. moving it wont bring more people. whom ever is in charge of marking needs to be fired, sorry but its true. when the 7th book came out on midnight there where 1000's waiting hours, nation wide waiting to get the book that show the marking team doesnt know what there doing. lets ask them would the dark knight of made more money next month of next year?
I definitely support this petition. It does NOT make any sense (monetary or otherwise) to push back the release date as the primary target audience are Potter fans. It could be released at the most inconvenient time in the world and we would still be there. Also with the economy having some problems now, what might it look like months from now? Best to get it while you can, Warner Brothers.
