I support this petition. They should release the movie as scheduled. July is when the movie would be coming out on dvd, not theaters. Me and other fans want it as originally scheduled. I cannot wait another year for this movie. Split the movie into 2 and show us one part in November and the second in July if you want more money.

I understand there's no need for another blockbuster this year, WB, but... think of all the HP fans that'll die from November to July that won't be able to enjoy another HP movie because of you! =( It's just kinda sad. I COULD BE ONE OF THEM. God forbid.

Why does everything have to be about money?! We've been waiting for this movie forever.
I have been mad about a lot of different things in my life and I've been disappointed plenty. But I must say I have never been more angry or more disappointed then I am tonight upon learning that WB has chosent to move back Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince until next July. This is the most disgusting showing of GREED I have ever heard of and with a fandom as large as Harry Potter has, well WB you have just tickled a sleeping dragon and we will have our voices heard!

There is no good reason for moving the date back, except for the movie company to make more money off a summer release. This is bogus, and disrespectful to all fans. It just shows what corporate people are like. Money-hungry jerks.

What exactly do they think they are doing?! They know and trust that the FANS will see it anyway, whenever they release it - what they are after are the "extra" people (and extra millions they bring) who go to see more movies at summer. Pushing the release for ELEVEN MONTHS? Don't they realize it's gonna piss off some of the fans, a LOT...to the point that some of them might boycott? Well, they don't care - they want a summer release, and what's a few fans getting disappointed...

seriously? like pushing it to the summer will help make more money? it's HARRY POTTER. people are going to line up to buy tickets for it no matter WHAT SEASON you release it in. if the movie's ready, i don't see a reason to push it back. so disappointing.

Reasonable people: Winter is just as good as a time for a movie to come out as in the summer. If they really want to market Half Blood Prince as a family movie, wouldn't thanksgiving be a prefect time to release it? Thanksgiving is a time when families come together. Perfect. And really, this is not a kid's movie. I mean, did you see the trailer? WB can only get away with the family theme for so long.
Their logic about summer releases making more money because Order of the Phoenix was the second highest earning of the films is bullshit. They happened to release a popular movie in the summer. And note that it wasn't the first on the list. However, the first highest grossing of them was, guess what, released right around Thanksgiving.

People who think before talking: So the film would be ready in time. So let it be released! And we were all fine with the release date for Deathly Hallows, so don't try to use that as an excuse.
