I support this petition. It isn't right for WB to do this. They advertise the film for Nov in an offical trailer. All they are doing is trying to create more hype for the film to do better, but they are pissing people off enough so that they'll boycott the film and Wb itself (which is what I'm doing, who's with me?)
I support this petition. I must say that I am outraged at WB's callous attitude toward their fans. Is it not us that pays for tickets to see their movies? Why would they deliberately piss off the very same people who go to the theaters (many of us repeat viewers) and drive up ticket sales? I hate to use a cliche, but it IS biting the hands that feeds them. Well, in lieu of this terrible, greed-driven decision, I have decided to boycott this and all other WB movies. I certainly will see Half-Blood Prince when it finally is released, but I will NOT pay to see it. WB will not receive a penny from me. And I plan to get all of my friends (many of whom have children who they would be bringing to see this movie) to do the same. If I get all of my friends to boycott, and they get all of their friends to boycott, and those friends get their friends to boycott, etc, etc, we could really make a dent in ticket sales. WB made a very bad move. My only hope is that, MAYBE, they will learn from their mistake.
I support this petition. The reasons for putting the release date back are just plain stupid. People have been looking forward to this for ages already and it is totally unfair on all of the fans.
I support this petition.
Well, I´m from Czech republic and I´ve bought expensive air ticket to UK on premiere... Thanks a lot! :( This is mad, WB... We´ve waited long enough!
Warner Brothers - what a load of crap... just for an extra buck you screw the fans over! Are you so ignorant as to think that you won't make as many millions and millions of dollars with a december release? Don't think we're that ignorant to think it has anything to do with the writers strike. WB = worthless bastards.
WB has a lot of nerve thinking that they can jerk people around like this. WB obviously thinks they've got us (the HP community) and we'll all just follow along. Stupid. It doesn't make any sense to me. When you have a rabid fan base that is willing to wait hours on end outside of a bookstore, getting them to watch a movie in November should be a piece of cake. I think there's a little more to it. Maybe all of the theaters are planning on raising their prices by the next fiscal year and WB wants to take advantage of the extra 25 cents per ticket deal.
I support this petition wholeheartedly. This is ridiculous in every aspect. It's not just a slap in the face to hardcore HP fans, but also to the casual ones who are nevertheless looking forward to the upcoming movie. Pathetic
bad idea that the nbeltran vai leave many făns saddened by this agent already hold 1 full year to assist the long-awaited film now you want to extend another 6 months and it's a bitch sacanagen part of vcs so thinking in their own profits and făns q is in the hand you get nbeltran note 0
I support this petition. If there were a reason to push the movie back, it'd be one thing. But the reason for pushing it back is basically, "we want to make more money."
The release date cannot be changed simply to make more money. A winter/Christmas release suits this film perfectly and will still make a bomb! Plus people have already bought VERY EXPENSIVE TICKETS for the premiere! This is such a silly idea. We have waited long enough!
