I support this petition. In fact, I am doing a speech on that very subject right now! I had my lip pierced, last year and they made me take it out. I am fighting to have my school allow them.

I support this petition. Ifeel that schools should not force students to take out their piercings. For one, a piercing isn\'t any more distraction than multi-colored hair or loud clothing. If the parents are fine with thier child poking holes in their body, then why should the schools care. Piercing is a sign of self-expression and personal freedom. As a citizen of the United States, we the people, have a right to express ourselves in any way we want, whether it be a colorful shirt or a nose piercing. I completely agree with allowing piercings in school and support this petition!

i feel the same way. ever since i got my lip pierced i have been getting in trouble, but all of the stuck up people in that school didnt get into any trouble at all. then my brother and i decided to wear them one day without taking them out. he got in school suspension and i got 6 detentions and 2 days on in school. if this is the way we want to express ourselfs, then they shouldnt have a right telling us that we are not allowed.

I support this petition. I am doing my senior project on this very subject. I agree that people should be able to wear piercings were they want to. The schools keep on telling us that they want us to express our selfs and people want to wear their piercings to do just that.
