Horrible transaction. He says "to be patient because we ship over 100,000 orders every week" or some BS like that. If that was the case you'd think he would be a little better at doing it. It shouldn't take 32 days to receive a poster even if it had to circle the world. The delivery time might've been able to be smoothed over had there been any kind of customer service, but recordings cannot do much for that. AHHHH
I paid $.99 for the poster and $9.99 for shipping. When I immediately paid for it the day I won it through paypal and was told to expect shipment in 10-14 business days. 42 days later the item arrives.
This company is the worst! They take almost a month to deliver a poster. You call, and all you get is a voice mail recording and NO ONE ever calls you back! I paid $.99 for the poster and $6.99 for shipping. This so called apology letter was saying how he had just had an increase in business and had hired 300% more staff. If this is true then it shouldn't take 3 weeks to get out a poster that post dated 2 days before I got it. He is the most impersonal ebayer I have ever bought from. I left a neutral feedback because he threatened me with a negative feedback the last time if I left one for him.
Paid $.01 for a poster, which I thought was a great deal. But, then had to pay $8.99 for shipping PLUS $1.99 for insurance. It took nearly a month for me to receive item. What is so hard about going to the post office (since he uses USPS) to ship a large bulk of packages? Especially if he is a POWER SELLER. I left neutral feedback. I'm waiting to see what I get--not expecting good based on what others have put.
Clearly this is this guy's source of income/business. I can adjust for the cost of tubes and shipping, but still....his business practices are not normal. Imagine if Amazon did this kind of stuff-they'd be gone in a week.
I won an auction for a 99 cent poster. Being new to ebay, I didn't know to check feedback, etc. prior to the purchase. I paid $9.97 for it immediately through paypal. Adam Hersch sent me at least 4 emails thanking me for the business and assuring me that the poster was being shipped right away. I waited and waited. I finally received the poster **21** days later (it was postmarked 2 days prior so obviously it was not shipped right away as promised. The poster was mailed via USPS for $1.83 plus $1.30 for insurance --- so why did I pay $8.99 for S & H??? I'm sure I'll get a retaliatory negative feedback myself now, but someone has to stand up to this person.
It's been 3 weeks and I still haven't gotten my poster. I left him negative feedback and he tried to blackmail me with negative feedback of his own so I would remove my comment.
24 days after payment, they tell me that my item was damaged in the mail and returned to them. I ordered an unframed poster which is nearly impossible to damage in a cardboard tube. I am so disgusted with Adam Hersh it is not funny. I paid them immediately at the conclusion of the auction for my poster. They sent me a payment marker thanking me for my payment and giving me credits for a future purchase with them. After a couple of weeks went by they then filed a complaint with ebay stating that I had not paid them. I responded by sending a copy of their payment marker email to both them and ebay. They responded that they never received the payment. I had to cancel the payment through my debit card with my bank and then sent them a money order (this was after a series of emails I sent them, only one of which was answered). After two weeks went by I followed up with them again, and sent an email asking them to please give me a status on the poster. They failed to reply but filed another complaint with ebay that I had never paid them. I had had enough and not only torched them in my reply to their filing of the second complaint but also, finally, after weeks of haggling, left them negative feedback. They had the Unmitigated Gall to leave feedback that I had just left them negative feedback without contacting them to work out the problem. WHAT!!!!! They then sent a mutual negative feedback request! (which I will just take my lumps and not back down to this intimidation. I have principles) Please remove this seller!
I won a poster on June19 and immediately paid for it thru PayPal. I sent a letter to them after 2 weeks and then every few days and just got an automated response. I filed a claim with PayPal July 11 and then got an immediate response from Adam Hersh asking me to withdraw the complaint so that he could send me my item (he stated if I didn't it would be out of his hands). That same day I got a refund from PayPal. Next I rec'd another letter from Adam Hersh asking me to withdraw my negative feedback and then he would withdraw the negative feedback he left for me. Please!!! Let's go back to high school--leaving negative feedback because I did! I paid for my item as soon as the auction was over. My eBay business dealings have been impeccable. I see 849 have mutually withdrawn their negative feedback-this intimidation should be dealt with!

purchased 3 items from him, on june 8th, payment was recieved on the 13th, he didn't ship item till 27th, and i'm STILL yet to recieve it. charged me 12 dollars to ship the posters when i sell things all the time and KNOW it only cost 5 dollars to send a tube, why the hell would it cost 12 to send three posters int he same tube, i'll tell you why, becuase he likes to over charge people. i have been emailing and calling, yet all i've gotten are auto responses and bots, leading to no one on the other end. i left a neutral feedback, and i have a feeling i will either get no feedback back or a negative beacuse i complained. looking at the other peoples feedback he leaves, he either doesn't leave the feedback or he gets all puffy that he is a horrible seller and we mention it that he recoils with a negative/neutral back, when the problem isnt on our part but theirs. I ordered 2 different posters from adam hersh. I recieved one after 3 weeks. I paid 10 bucks for shipping and there was a us postal label for 2.00 for shipping charges! Big surprise, he was mailing out of a mailbox delivery service so that no one can find his offices. After many attempts to contact them by email and phone I was sent to his claim page where I found that if I send the poster back I would get a new one at no charge. Fine. I did that. I got back ether the same exact post or a similarly damaged one 4 weeks later! Again, I tried to call them and email and finally got sick of the same form letter responses. I filed a claim with pay pal. After pay pal ruled in my favor I got an email from Adam hersh apologizing for my inconvenience and could I please close the case against them so that they could handle my problem, I though well it is about time. I closed the case like a fool and received no further response. After being tricked, I left them a negative feedback about 2 weeks later. They retaliated by leaving me negative feedback saying I never contacted then or gave them a chance to solve my problem. My perfect feed back score is now ruined. Ordered poster and frame. recieved frame after 14+ days but no poster. Sent numerous (4) e-mails but only response i got was an automatic response telling me they will deal with my complaint in good time. Totally unhappy with service. Would never buy from them again. BAN THEM.
Paid for item on 5/16/05. Waited 14 days and e-mailed Adam Hersh. Was told that the item was returned to sender damaged (don't items usually arrive at buyer damaged?) AH said he would resend- told it was resent on 6/7/05. Now its 7/11/05 and I never did receive it. When I filed a complaint for default on contract with paypal & ebay, he claimed that it AGAIN was damaged and sent back to seller. IMPOSSIBLE to happen twice. Definitely a blanket excuse. Kept sending e-mails asking me to end conflict intervention request with paypal so we could work things out- but would never send a "personal" e-mail- all were blanket/templates. Poster was supposed to be a gift to my boss. Had to buy something else, very disappointed as I was really looking forward to giving the item to my boss. S&H cost was WAY too much ($10), but I paid under the assumption that I would receive it within 14 days.
I thought I'd signed this already- but I don't see my complaint. Regardless, I too have been scammed and frauded by AHA (who left retailatory negative feedback for me even though I paid for my things on time and waited 50+ days for it to arrive.
I have been in contact with Paypal who have issued my claim. They said that if they have enough complaints about someone and their fraudulent activities that the person can be shut down. But unless they know about the problems, they can't do anything. Their number is 1-402-935-2081 and you will need your e-mail address and credit card used on paypal. If enough paypal people complain, hopefully they will remove his account.

Out of the blue I received harassing email from Adam Hersch insisting payment for a Nine Inch Nails poster.He has threatened lawsuits, collections and negative feedback. At first I thought someone had obtained my password and was using my account. Adam Hersh is a poorly run business with bad customer relations and should be put out of business permanently. Adam Hersh threatens to leave negative feedback based on the fact that you leave them negative feedback, not on your own reputable action. They should be banned from Ebay, and its employees should be banned individually. Their actions ruin the integrity of Ebay and all Ebay’s abiding users.

Never recieved my posters and my emails were ignored. These posters were a fathers day gift. And it is upsetting that someone does this to people and gets away with it.
Same old story same old rip off. Listen we need to start a "class Action Lawsuit" against mr hersh. We definetly have the numbers. We can sue him for FRAUD and Misrepretation. If you were screwd with shipping charges all I can say is he can legally do that. I mean if you paid $10 shipping and handling and you found out it really cost $1.00 to ship that means the other $9.00 is technically covered under "handling" its one of the oldest tricks in the book. I ordered a poster from adam hersh. It took FOREVER to recieve it, 3 months or so, they kept making excuses and sending general responses to my emails. Not once did they "try and resolve" the problem" as they had said. Now I did recieve the product eventually, but the service was terrible.

I ordered a poster from Adam Hersh. Not only was the shipping extremely high, he raised the S/H twice after the original price. I called his number which is an answering machine. The only thing it asks you to leave is your email address. It does not give you a choice to a live person. Ebay has been no help what so ever in this matter. I emailed them of the situation and informed them and Adam Hersh that I will not purchase the poster. When the bid was won, even though the shipping was very high, I figured it was my fault for not checking his record and had every intention of paying. When I tried to pay, there was a glitch in ebays system. They said monies transferred. Adam Hersh then marked item as paid. Whe he realized the transfer had not gone through, he contacted me and asked for payment. At this point he raised the S/H and the raised it again, and put an alert in our ebay. I would warn anyone against dealing with him. He obviously makes his money from outrageous s/h fees.

Won on June 14 paid on June 15, Bought an additional poster from his website. Recieved it on June 9th never recieved the auction poster. Was supposed to be shipped together to save on shipping.

Well - I finally received the poster. Won and paid for June 13th. Received July 7.th. I did think it would never appear, though. The poster was .99, and the stamps on the tube were 2.40. I just wonder why I was charged over 17 dollars? Th poster itself was OK, but not worth the total prize I paid. I certainly have learned a lesson! Received only form emails, with nothing pertinent to my case. Was told that the postal service mangled it and it was returned to them. A new one would be sent out when received from supplier. After reading numerous feedbacks stating identical details, I requested refund through paypal and left negative feedback, which he promptly returned false negative feedback - my first as a seller or buyer. Reading his feedback, the majority of his positive feedback comes from new members, or those less than 50 feedback, and almost always multiples.

Also, won't leave positive feedback until someone else does first. If you leave negative feedback, they leaves libelous negative feedback for you which says that you didn't attempt to contact them. (It's the exact negative feedback for everyone, regardless of reason). Have contacted ebay and would like to see this business banned from ebay.
Won a poster mid-june, sent 2 e-mails by the end of the month in query to when i would receive it but i never did. Hersh left ME negative feedback stating I never contacted them which is bogus. Filed a claim with paypal and got a refund but it's just despicable!
Won my multiple items on the 24th May and after 3 separate emails asking when they would arrive, and only getting automated responses i finally put my negative feedback on Ebay on 6th July. I did this after an email warning him of my intentions, yet still no personal reply. I have since recieved 5 negative feedbacks stating complete lies. How is he still allowed to trade when 99% of members are trusting people. He also followed up his own negative feedback he placed, again with lies, which surely he should not be able to do???
Won item May 26th. Item was mailed June 13th and I received week of June 20th. Shipping costs are completely outrageous - I was charged $6.99 plus $1.99 for MANDATORY insurance. When I received my item - the actual shipping cost was just $1.52 with no indication of insurance on the item! I tried contacting customer service to get the insurance refunded but only got canned responses. This company needs to be booted from ebay!
Won item on May 13. Received item July 2. I contacted customer service via email, received automated response, and then email from customer service rep who stated it was problem with post office. They gave me negative feedback stating I never tried to resolve issue with them. Poorly recommended due to poor customer service and customer care.
Ordered a poster. The description said it would take 2 days to mail and it took 4 weeks. Poster was half the size that was stated in the description. Poster was received damaged. I had to pay to have it shipped back even though I had already paid for insurance and outrageous shipping costs. No responses to requests for assistance from company.
I got a poster from him for a gift for someone else before they moved away. Now I havent even got the poster yet and I have paid for it and they person already moved. If anyone knows how to get your money back if you pay through paypal please let me know.
I won 2 posters from Hersch. I had a problem with my paypal and emailed him that nite to advise him. I rec'd a canned email back. Finally, he emailed me back saying it was ok to send a check for my winnings. I emailed him again to let him know the check was in the mail (which it was) the next day, I get 2 alerts saying that there has been non payment of items won and no contact between seller and buyer.I was quite upset to say the least. I rec'd an canned email again from him saying that there maybe some strikes against me but he will remove them or something like that. The day after I finally rec'd my posters, I go on ebay and find out that I'm suspended due to having too many strikes. I was furious. I emailed him again and asked him to remove the stikes, which never happened. Finally, I had to appeal my suspension to Ebay and sent them the notification emails sent from him that I did pay for them and that they were shipped. I just not got unsuspended because of him but they are keeping the strikes against me. Terrible person to do business with. He needs to be removed.
i won a poster the 6th of june. he said he shipped it the 7th. i waited until the 25th to file for my money back from paypal. he never sent me tracking, never answered my email, you cant talk to anyone when you call. they wouldnt give paypal tracking info on my order either. then the day i was to be ruled in favor his costumer rep emailed me and explained i did have my poster and they would be expecting repayment. he even marked me unpaid on ebay. hes completely horrible to do business with. im just glad i got my money back and ill only order posters from well established companies from now on.
I went to buy from this clown then I noticed his feedback so I contacted him before I bid and he would not reply to any of my messages except this automated crap. I will not buy from him and I want to help get him banned from ebay. There is no room for people like that on ebay. We only want HONEST people on there not ripoffs like Adam Hersh.
Bid on a poster, my fault I didn't read shipping and handling...Total ripoff, they charged me for insurance and they did not put any on the package so I asked for a refund. Just keep getting canned message. He needs to go, 200+ negatives a month is ridiculous. I can't get any contact with this clown.
I bought four posters from Hersh. Two from eBay and two from his own website. Three of the four have arrived (they came with approximately a week between each one). I'm still missing my fourth one and no one is responding to my emails. On top of not getting my fourth one, the last one I got (and my "favorite") was totally creased right down the entire middle!! It was because he stuffed a business card on the inside and rolled it up. Now the poster that was supposed to be my favorite is now unframable. Thanks a lot, Hersh. That's the way to run a business.
I paid for a poster with insurance within 5 min os auction ending. Never received item. He wanted to make me jump through a bunch hoops in order to get my money back. This is no good. He does not do business well at all.
after leaving negative feedback for reasons noted below, Hersh gives me a negative stating I did not contact him first. why should I be expected to wait around for another 25 days for this ***** to correct issues that shouldn't have happened in the first place? I paid him within five minutes of the auction ending but I get a negative? come on. then he tries to get rid of his negatives by giving you one, and then sends a mutual retract email. what an *******.
I bought a .99 poster from Adam Hersh. I had to pay 6.99 for shipping plus a required 2.00 for insurance. I never got it. I emailed several times and got mostly canned responses. I was told to wait 2-3 weeks for delivery. I did. They finally said another was sent and claimed the first was damaged in shipping. Please wait another 2-3 weeks for delivery. The reason for the poster was a gift. When the day of the party came close I contacted and said I wanted a refund.After 6 weeks I didnt need the poster anymore. I got an email saying that a third was sent, then another email saying the supplier has been out for quite a while please wait. Then I got an email asking how I like the poster I got yesterday. I then got more aggresive in my requests for a refund and was totally ignored. I simply asked why a refund is so impossible to get that it isnt even discussed. I paid 10 times what it was worth. I sent one final email asking for a refund or reply in one week.I filed complaints to paypal.The time I spent waiting for the item exceeded the 45 days they give to complain so they would only file the complaint. I filed one with ebay. That got their attention.I got an email but no response yet. When the time was up I left negative feedback. 2 months after the auction which was paid the same day. I had been threatened in one of the 3 real emails I got that if I left neg they would. And they did. I paid the same day, waited 2 months, and emailed each week yet I earned a negative. This company has no place on ebay and is an expert at ripping off customers. Because of the number of total sales the over 200 negatives they get a month makes no difference. I still have no poster, no refund, and no explanation. Worst mistake I ever made.
I ordered a number of items from Adam Hersh. Got feedback from him that it was the fastest pymt ever. I received one item. Now he is saying I DIDn't pay for 3 items. I have attempted to contact him numerous times...All I get is "canned" responses. He also has not responded to my comments in the Dispute area. Also, the 1 item I DID get...cost $2.76 to mail...he charged me $5.99. What a crook!
I won a poster (for $0.99) had to pay either $6.99 or $7.99 for shipping, got two emails telling me my poster had been shipped, got it three weeks later - in a little tiny tube that cost just over $1.00 to send. He knows how to make money that's for sure. I don't know much about the way the feedback thing works, but I was pretty sure that the seller had to leave feedback first. I gave neutral feedback (because of the shipping discrepency) and haven't had a response yet. I'm hoping for a positive feedback, being that I paid the same day as the auction closed.

I bought several posters from this seller and the total for the posters came to a little over $12.00. I ended up having to pay over $50.00 for shipping and insurance.
I was charges over $30.00 just for the shipping and almost $10.00 for insurance, when then insurance would only cost $1.30. When I got the posters in one tube (10 posters) the postage on it was only $5.10.

Wanted poster for my boyfriends birthday. Ordered friday june 10th. Paid $25 for express shipping.BUT on the tube it came in it said the shipping charge was only $13 and change.What did I pay $25 for? A $3 poster turned into a $30 one. The Poster was received Thursday June 23!!!! HORRIBLE SHIPPING. Poster was advertised as 24x36 bu the actual size was 23x33 so I couldnt use the frame i had selected to put it in. Ruined my whole gift. I paid through paypal directly after i ordered the poster. adamhersh left me positive feedback saying i was a great ebayer. THEN after i attempted to contact him both through email and phone, i left honest factual negative feedback about his shiping and he switched my feedback to negative feedback saying i never tried to contact him but i did contact him. It was my right as a ebayer to leave negative feedback and i should not be penalized for this.
I recently redecorated my kids' rooms and thought that for $.99 per poster, it would be an inexpensive way to add character to their rooms.
So I was willing to pay the extra postage for a $.99 poster.
I would have been better off paying full-price for the posters from my local art store then to have purchased through Adam Hersh.
I ordered/paid for the posters on June 9. On June 19 I emailed to find out where my order is. I paid $19.91: $2.97 for the goods and the rest for postage. Of course, I got the form letter with two links.
The next day, my 4-year-old was excited to see the tube on the front porch. When we opened it, due to the carelessness of the assembly line at the company, there was a crease all the way down the posters. There is no way to get it out. And to top it off, I only received 2 out of 3 posters ordered!
So I followed suit and left an honest, factual negative feedback, which is my right as an Ebayer.
There was no email from Adam Hersh to explain that I might receive my order in multiple shipments. They did not email to advise if the poster is out of stock. They just simply omitted the poster that I immediately paid and patiently waited to arrive.
I thought that Ebay had rules and regulations regarding transactions, especially to the seller after the buyer completes their end of the deal. Aren't honesty and integrity integral components of each and every Ebay transaction, regardless if it's through two private parties or a private party and a major Ebay contributor? Do I smell something?
i got the poster, but it was in a tube that i never agreed to pay for (i would rather just pay less shipping and have it folded, since that's what i'm doing with it anyway). aside from that i paid like $7 shipping when on the tube it said a dollar or something. shipping took forever, when i finally got the poster it had a huge scratch across the front of it. almost like a footprint or something, but it was a scratch.
I won a poster in mid- April 2005 from Adam Hersh Auctions. I repeatedly sent emails requesting help in using their checkout system, which they requested I use. All I received were auto replies and after a week or so of this I posted a neg feedback. They then posted one as well stating that "DOESN"T PAY FOR AUCTION, THEN LEAVES NEG FEEDBACK!!!" Aftert this they contacted me and offered to check me out if I would send them my credit card info! When I said no, they then offered to check me out and send a payment link (why not offer to do this first?). The link was sent, and there was an extra $4.00 tacked on tothe shipping that I agreed to pay in the auction. They told me that this was because I had chosen the more expensive shipping during checkout, but they checked me out! This took another few days to sort out, and I was finally able to pay on May 3rd. By early June I still hadn't received anything, so I filed a non-receipt of goods claim through both ebay and paypal. Two days before paypal found in my favor and sent my refund, Adam Hersh 'customer service' sent me an e-mail simply stating that I "should have received poster by now. Please remitt payment immediately."!!! These people have obviously figured out all the loopholes in the ebay system so that they can remain in buisness no matter how many of us file complaints. I hope that ebay responds to this petition and at LEAST suspends Adam Hersh Auctions, to send a mesage that treating customers this way is unacceptable.
I purchased an Ansel Adams poster for my husband for a father's day gift on 06-05-05. The poster was $2.99 and I paid a total of $15.97 with shipping for 2 day delivery. I didn't receive the damanged poster until 06-23-05! I couldn't even frame it. I sent a negative feedback and Adam Hersh immeadiately sent a negitive feedback to me stating basically, I never contacted him to resolve the issue. He ruined my 100% and that really ticks me off. He sent and email to me asking me to mutually withdrawl the complaint. I thought about it and I couldn't bring myself to do it because of all the other negitive responses that he has. People need to know about him and the shady, underhanded way he does business. Thank you
I purchase a poster, paid for it minutes after I won it & was sent an email from Hersh several days later saying the item had been shipped. 4 weeks passed & nothing arrived- I emailed them & got..you guessed it an automated response. I sent them another email stating I would not accept an automated response and they emailed me back saying that sometimes thing take longer in the mail than expected- guess I am stupid!?! So...3 more weeks passed and the item finally arrived (total 8 weeks from the day they said it was originally shipped) I low and behold it had only been postmarked 5 days prior to receiving it!! In the meantime I left a negative feedback for Hersh & now they have the gaul to leave me negative feedback- guess paying for an item minutes after winning it deserves that kind of response! Let's get this guy dealt with before more people end up having to deal with him!!
