He first said yes it was shipped, then he said my item was on backorder, then he said oh no it wasn't shipped because it got damaged now he's been saying for 2 weeks that it's been shipped. My purchase via ebay auction was 7th June 2005. It was my first but on ebay so I did not know to look for postage and addtional charges etc. I just saw a poster I wanted for 99cents, so I put in a bid and won. Fantastic I thought. I signed up to Pay Pal and paid straight away. I got a confirmation a few days later from Adam Hersh that poster would be despatched shortly. I waited until about 18th June and had not arrived so emailed and they said there had been a delay but would be posted now. Left it a week or two and got to 13th July having not received it. I read up on making a claim on ebay/paypal and realised that I was approaching the 45 day complaint period so I put in my query and left negative feedback on Adam Hersh stating that I had paid promply but goods had not been received. He left me negative feedback saying give him a chance to sort it out before resorting to negative feedback. I thought feedback was an observation of how things were done and I felt justified leaving a negative remark due to poor service and not very much by way of explanation. Having made the compaint to ebay I got a request from Adam Hersh to remove my feedback and he would remove his and he could not look into the problem while a complaint was in place with ebay and asked me to withdraw that too. I replied to him stating that the complaint was valid as i still had not received the poster (18/7/05 by this time). He said the poster had been returned damaged and a replacement would be sent out as soon as I removed the complaint. He does not seem to get that I have a right to complain about poor service without it having to be tied to getting what I originally ordered. I heard back from Pay PAl and they found in my favour and re-credited my payment less about 7cents (probably exchange rate differences) so I was very happy thinking the matter was concluded. My dealing with Adam left me wanting more. Yes, we cleared arbitration. Yes, he got HIS negative feedback removed. MINE, however, remained. I ordered a KISS poster he had on auction, won i, paid for it, and then heard that there was a problem with shipping. I used BIN on another, and STILL had problems. And then he had the nerve to flame ME. I'd like to see Mr. Hersh banned from eBay.

I'm a teacher who bought two posters of Ophelia for my classroom from Adam Hersh. I finally received one of them today after waiting a month. The poster I received today is not much larger than a postcard (it was described as huge when I purchased it on ebay). I also noticed that I was charged $6.99 for shipping plus $1.99 shipping insurance. On the package I received today it said it only cost $3.85 to ship my product. This seems totally wrong to me and it is nice to see that I'm not alone.

I also paid for a poster and never received it. I emailed him several times asking about it, and all I got was a run around. He'd email back saying it's on the way, or they were checking into it. After several emails to him attempting to work it out, I finally decided to leave negative feedback, which I've never done. He then leaves me negative feedback (which I've never received) in return and says "IF YOU CONTACT US BEFORE LEAVING NEGATIVE COMMENTS WE WILL ALWAYS RESOLVE ISSUE". This person is unbelievable, and needs to be stopped!!
I was sent a very dirty item that was advertised as being new in great condition. Then because I gave him bad feedback, he in turn gave me unwarrented bad feedback.
I paid for 3 posters on June 13th as a birthday present for my son and as of Aug.15 I still havent' received 2 of 3 posters. Left negative feedback and he then leaves me neg. feedback. Then wants me to withdrawl the feedback so his percentages will increase. I won't withdrawl my comments even though his comments lowered my feedback. I will not be party to bringing his feedback up even by a percent. Something needs to be done about this seller. He needs to be suspended from ever selling on ebay again.
Treats customers with absolute contempt. Makes profit by inflated postage charges. You predominately receive item damaged.You pay insurance but nothing is ever followed up, replaced or reimbursed. Absolutely no communication. Leaves you (the customer)feedback AFTER you have left him feedback on ebay. Untrustworthy and should be removed from ebay as he reaches ever more closer to 3000 negative responses, many neutrals and ebay does nought.
I am currently involved with a dispute with this guy. But instead of leaving negative feedback, I filed a Paypal complaint. I Won and paid for a poster on July 5, 2005. On July 26, 2005 received incorrect poster. Emailed them and they replied to send it back and they'll get out another right away. On Aug 10th emailed them that I still did not receive it and if I didn't by the 12th I would file a complaint. I intended to wait until the 12th but my 45 days were coming due and I wanted to protect my right to file a complaint. So I filed a complaint on August 10th. This immediately got their attention. They emailed and told me that they could do nothing for me until I canceled my complaint. Give me a break! I responded that if the poster arrived by Aug 12th I'd be happy to cancel the complaint. Well guess what? A poster did arrive on August 12th but it was the same exact incorrect poster they sent me the first time. And it took 15+ days to get to me from Florida!. I emailed them again saying that I would be returning the incorrect poster and that I was now requesting a total refund. They still attempted to get me to cancel complaint. There is no way that's going to happen. I responded that I would not cancel the complaint unless they refunded my money. In addition, even though the complaint process gives them 20 days to respond, I would give them only until Aug 17. If I do not get my money back by then, I informed them that I would be contacting my credit card company to dispute the charge (they didn't like that either). We'll see what happens. don't leave negative feedback. That's a waste of time. File a complaint against this guy with Ebay and Paypal to get money back for non-receipt of goods. Item won July 13th, 2005, and paid for via PayPal (and MarketWorks) immediately. As of today, August 15th, it has not been received. Numerous attempts to contact AHA have been unsuccessful in gaining any meaningful response. On the other hand, I have received a number of SPAM emails from AHA, all with an invitation to try out PartyPoker at the bottom. Looking at recent feedback for AHA, the percentage of feedback that is negative has been growing steadily in the last 6 months or so.
I received 2 of the 3 prints I ordered. Both of them arrived unreasonably late and one had a tear in the corner, but I was too frustrated to send it back so I just matted it. After several attempts, the seller explained the delay but I still have not gotten my favorite of the prints and I think Adam Hersh is too busy to notice this.

All I've gotten is a bunch of excuses, and the only way I can get any response is by threatening him with negative feedback and disbutes. I ended up getting Squartrade involved and he still never reimbursed the $5 he overcharged on shipping and he never removed the negative feedback he left for me even though I petitioned EBay to remove the three I left for him. He is a loser and a rip off artist.

My son bought a poster on June 7 and never received it. I sent at least 10 emails, but Adam Hersh either ignored them or kept saying the item was in the mail. I told him to forget it and refund my money, but he refused. After 45 days, I filed a dispute resolution through PayPal and they quickly ruled in my favor. Hersh tried to get me to remove my dispute notice, saying the package was in the mail. It wasn't, of course.

I placed an order for a frame and poster 47 days ago and have not recieved my item. The only response I get is an automated e-mail response. I did actually get an e-mail once, and they said my item was being shipped on that day, which was over 2 weeks ago.
I ordered a poster, and it took ages to come. I emailed three times and never got a single reply!!! Then when it turned up it was very poor quality. The only option I felt I had left was give negative feedback. As soon as I did that he gave negative feedback to me saying "buyer just gave negative feedback without trying to contact us to sort out order"!! What a lier!!!

Adam Hersh used Hurricane Charlie as an excuse for delayed delivery. In the end, however, I never even received my poster and I don't even know if I received a refund. I left negative feedback after a few months, which he disputed and it was removed. Numerous attempts were made to clear up this issue but Adam Hersh was nowhere to be found. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

He charged over $70 shipping when it cost pennies over $10. I had to buy the insurance, and I later realized this was just his attempt to make a bundle without paying ebay their fees like the rest of us do. Also, his descriptions were wrong - the posters were the wrong direction in height vs width so I couldn't use about 1/3 of them.
The poster took 5 weeks to arrive. It took over a month to get it shipped then it arrived 3 days later. After I left negative comment then ahauctions left me negative comment and started the mutual withdrawal process. 349 negative comments in ONE MONTH. Enough said. Dump this disingenuous seller now!
the person is a scam, they sent me an email that read...possible ebay suspension...telling me that if I didnt pay for my item that was only $3.00 on their websight and not pay pal that I would be suspended indefinately from using Ebay. There is no way that I am giving them my personal information over a $3.00 poster, or going to let them tell me what actions Ebay will take trying to scare me into buying from them.

I have emailed him requesting a refund since I paid for insurance and I still have not gotten a refund. Whenever I email him, I am told to wait another couple of weeks before requesting a refund. Total jerks. Waited a month for a poster, then filed a complaint with Paypal. They sent me an email says now they wouldn't send it until I closed the claim! BLACKMAIL! If Adam Hersh were just a badly run company, they would'nt be that uncommon. However, the way they constantly avoided contact when it suited them and refused to respond to complaints leads me to believe that their business is taking advantage of customers and nothing else. They should be shut down, or at least banned from ebay. Lets hope ebay want our custom more than they want Adam Hersh's listing fees.
I have the same complaint everyone elsd does. It has been one month and ond day since I paid and no poster. I received two automated message, two different days saying my poster has been shipped. He needs to be closed down. WHY ALL OF A SUDDEN DOES THE GOAL OF THE SIGNATURES JUMP FROM 200 TO 300 IN ONE WEEK? The goal had already been met. Why did it go up? who has Adam Hersh payed off to stay on E-bay? If e-bay does not do something with him, they will be just as responsible as he his for scamming customers and running with the money. SHOW SOME CLASS E-BAY AND GET RID OF THIS GUY ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!
I have the same complaint everyone elsd does. It has been one monthe and ond day since I paid and no paster. I received two automated message, two different days saying my poster has been shipped. He needs to be closed down. WHY ALL OF A SUUDEN DOED THE GOAL OF THE SIGNATURES JUMP FROM 200 TO 300 IN ONE WEEK? The goal had already been met. Why did it go up? who has Adam Hersh payed off to stay on E-bay?

I still have not received my poster item # 5589059463 and it has been over 1 month ago. I have tried to reach this company three times, but they still do not help or respond. I left negative feedback because this was a birthday present for someone, but it is over 3 weeks late. Why should I receive negative feeback when I payed them with paypal the same exact day I won the auction! My message said Unavoidable delays, issue resolved.Give us a chance before resorting to feedback. The issue was not resolved at all & I tried to give them a chance by e-mailing them three times. This really upsets me because I do not buy or sell much on ebay. I had a 100% feedback until this, now I have a 80% feedback. I wish I would have never bought the stupid poster now!

I bought a Tim Hudson poster from them. I mailed the payment off THE DAY AFTER I WON THE AUCTION. Two months have passed and I have not received my item. Each and every time I try and contact "Adam Hersh" I always get a machine and I have yet to talk with a "real person" about it. For my two cents worth, if your going to run a business, your going to have to learn how to deal with your customers instead of hiding behind a machine. Adam Hersh Auctions does not properly have what it takes to run a successful business. Therefore they should be banned. I have tried to be nice with them but still I get nothing! For all I know, Adam Hersh could be some 10 year old because so far, that is what he is leading me on to be. BAN ADAM HERSH!!!!!
I've bought from him 3 times and the third time did it for me. It took about three weeks for each item to come to me. The third item took over 3 weeks. He charges WAY too much for shipping AND requires insurance... If I'm paying for all that I would expect my item a little earlier than a month later. Also, I sent them at least 3 emails about one item and NEVER received a response, only automated emails directing me to a website that either didn't work or didn't answer my question. They really need to learn better skills if they want a successful business with happy customers.
I had bid on a poster for a neighbor's child. I was overcharged on an item, and when I asked the seller about the extra charge, he never responded. Since I did not immediately pay, he put me on non payer status. NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE! This person alone has soured me on E-Bay.
I immediately paid for the poster via PayPal. Weeks went by; no poster. I finally initiated a request for action through PayPal--heard nothing from them either--and then posted a negative. That got a response: the admonition that Adam Hersh had posted a negative about me, the only negative I've gotten, and this would remain unless I withdrew my own negative about them.
This is disgraceful. Further: are there not federal regulations that pertain to companies which conduct interstate transactions, and to those who use the mails? How can eBay permit this?

Hersh was quick to file a nonpaying bidder report on me without sending a reminder; I admit I forgot but paid and haven't heard a word since. No poster, refund, or answer to anything until I finally posted neg. feedback.I understand they also posted neg. on me. Why? Because they are lousy at their job? They need to get off E-Bay and make room for a decent merchant.This seller has over310 bad feedbacks in ONE month, where is our buyer protection, E-Bay? And where is my poster, Hersh? Why should I remove negative feedback when I STILL have no merchanndise over 30 days since payment?
I too believed my item was returned due to damage. Only When I received it, it was still damaged. Took over three weeks to get it, And I did try to tell my five year old. She was very unhappy. After several emails, I finally got a response. He says to return it to him for a refund. Why should I pay to return something I paid insurance for? And how long would it take to get my money back? Don't let this fool keep you from ebay, He is a lone scammer. Ebay has alot to offer. I have never had problems before. I wish I would have read his feed back before buying.
He needs to be stopped. I finally got my money back through Paypal, and now he keeps emailing me telling me to send him re-payment! Ha! He wants re-payment and keeps my poster! Is there nothing that can be done to stop him?
No response to emails sent. I paid for item immediately and after 2 weeks no posters. Try explaining that to a 5 year old. This guy is making me re-think ever buying anything from ebay again!
It seems that Hersh tells everyone that the items are "damaged" and were returned... this is clearly a way to avoid explaining why they don't send out the items that they agreed to send. I actually believed this line, then I say here that he tells everyone that - how disgraceful. Why can't ebay or Paypal actually do anything about this terrible seller? He has a proven record of fraud and dishonesty, yet ebay pretends they have no responsibility for enabling him.

I paid for my poster immediatly after I won it. His website stated it was sent however, It has been over 25 days and have not recieved my poster, and can only get automated responses from emails i sent to adam hersh and his phone number is only a recorded message. I have filed a complaint with paypal. Please kick this "company" off ebay.
I ordered and paid for my poster on 6/21/05 and was charged a high shipping charge when it only costs a $1.06, but the MAIN problem was I contacted him over 20 times to ask where the poster was and all I got was auto replys and then I filed a complaint with Paypal on 7/11/05 and my poster magically appeared. I left negative feedback and they told me they will leave me negative feedback, how unfair is that? I stood up on my part of the deal, he didnt, so why do I deserve the negative for his bad buisness and customer service? I was also told that the item was returned because it was damaged, how can I get one thats not damaged if he said he only had one of that poster?
I won an item, paid immediately. The shipping was outrageously high, but the total price was good. After two weeks and no item, I emailed him. I got an automated response, and eventually a person final told me it had been returned to them "damanged." So, another two weeks and still no item. I filed an INR with paypal. They tried to tell me that they would just keep my money and not send me my item unless I withdrew the INR. Even though I responded, they kept just sending me form letters. No real human contact. There is NO customer service there. They just take your money and run. There's another day left for them to respond to the INR, but nothing left.
Ebay, Adam Hersh gives all of Ebay a bad name. I've had many good experiences on Ebay, but this definately wasn't one of them. This guy neeeds to go, NOW!
I won an item, paid within 3 days and never received the item. I emailed several times and got his "automated response", but never a real reply and never got my poster. I filed a grievance with EBay and PayPal. PayPal refunded my money and then he actually had the nerve to send me a request to re-send him the funds after that. After that slap in the face, I finally left negative feedback.
Took 2 weeks before he even shipped the poster even though I paid in one day on paypal. Then it arrived damaged. His final act of bad faith (so far)was to give me negative feedback immediately after I gave him his well deserved negative feedback, but his was a complete lie claiming I never tried to contact him. My 10 emails to him along with his useless automated responses prove otherwise.
