This would be an amazing book to have, i think as a mod leader myself (final-escape) it will make mod creation a little more interesting and some difficult things will be more accessable and understandable.
I am currently interested and have been for a long while about half-life mods and have always wanted to create my own. This resource would be perfect because I think it could not only solidify mod-making as a viable hobby, but allow for a hard copy of a source to look back to.
Please at least provide an online version of this book... I have been experimenting with the Source engine and it has been quite frustrating. This book was a great idea and business politics shouldn't get in its way.
Been waiting for this book since before the game came out! Very disappointed to hear the plans have been scrapped. I'd buy this book in a second if it came out.
Dont cancel this book. Many aspiring modmakers with great ideas for mod would be heartbroken if you canceled it. the Community would definitely benefit from such a book, and poeple would buy it.
I think this idea is good, although bad. As it will be hard to make everybody happy. Someone will complain about the content. Plus you can just get it off the internet. And learn only specific parts more clearly instead of learn a quick skim through each section.... < Long, eh?

Why cancel? I can imagine writing a Mod Makers Guide is a lot of trouble. Is that it? More work than you expected? Double the price...I'll still buy it.

This book could easily become that breakthrough product that breaks the average joe into the mod making community. I for one have never made anything in a editor before, I was waiting for this book to start because the internet tutorials are confusing and incomplete. Please make this book! I would really like to break into modding.
