I'm signing this petition because I'm absolutely disgusted at the way Brooke Smith has been treated by Grey's Anatomy and ABC. I believe ABC's actions are homophobic and discriminatory.
I support this petition. the obvious homophobia going on at ABC has to stop. and this is not the way to treat an employee. show some class, ABC. it's not as hard as it sounds.
you have forever lost this viewer thanks to your homophobic ways and you lost a wonderfull actress in brookie smith the way you treated her is completely unfair!!.
Heaven forbid that television portray not only a realistic lesbian coming out story, but portray it with real women with real faces and real curves and real emotions. Erica Hahn was abrasive and tough and vulnerable and sweet--she was complex, like a REAL person is. This made her very beautiful in my eyes.
Shame on you ABC.
Without Brooke Smith on the show, I don't know that I'm going to watch Grey's Anatomy anymore. And ABC's treatment of her leaves me absolutely disgusted, to the point where I may stop watching ABC altogether.
I support this petition.Brooke Smith is/was an asset to GA and portrayed her character Erica Hahn and the lesbian storyline with respect and sensitivity.Erica is/was a great character,regardless of the lesbian storyline.Her 'abrupt' exit to the show seems to be in a highly distastful manor.It sheds a poor light on ABC and a the reasons they had for firing her.Bad choice ABC!

I support this petition. I am particularly upset at the way this entire situation was handled, as not even Brooke Smith herself knew what was going on or why. She is an amazing actress, and whether you liked the character or storyline or not, you can't deny she did her job perfectly. Don't do this, ABC. Please.

What the #@!*?! Hahn finally grew on me and I've always liked Callie. I found it interesting to get to see these two women develop a relationship and then they just drop a character in the middle of it?! Shonda says she doesn't want to belittle the relationship by bringing in another lesbian character but say's Callie is a lesbian and so she's supposed to be single forever??
Bad move ABC. 'Grey's' is a drama within a drama. No thanks... (You're lucky you have Pushing Daisies, and even that show you consider dropping altogether!) For shame! I'm going back to NBC and Tina Fey!!!
I think it is insane she is being written off the show, in the manor that they are doing it. I was a faithful watcher of Grey's, and I fell off the wagon for a while. However, I really got back into this season and was happy for the progressive story line, and if they writer her off of the show in this way I will never watch Grey's Anatomy again.
