I support this petition. Brooke Smith's character, Dr Erica Hahn, was the reason I watched Grey's Anatomy. She provided a strong, intelligent role model to look up to, along with being the best at her craft. I read the reasons why she was taken off and am extremely disappointed in the lame excuses, along with ABC's decision. I will no longer watch this show, nor will I watch ABC in general. The only thing that would attract me back to the station is if Brooke Smith were back on the show as Dr Erica Hahn.
I can't believe that on the day America shows one of its most beautiful sides and makes us all see that there is more in this world than the white hetereosexual male, ABC shows it's most narrow minded, homophobic side.
I just have one simple question: what are you so afraid of?
ABC cutting out a lesbian character just like that isn't going to make homosexuals dissapear. I hope one day you are not afraid to look beyond what you think is "normal".
I support this petition. The way the actress was treated is disrespectful. Finally a lesbian story that seems genuine, not forced. With 2 women who are actually women, not stick supermodels. It's realistic, you got a lot more viewers because of this, LGBT community is big.
I support this petition. If the reason she is being removed from the show is due to the fact that her character is gay, and you know this is true in your heart, then this is wrong.
I support this petition. The voice of the GLBT community has the right to be on television just as much as the rest of the world. Love is love. Why does it matter who it's between? This is one of the truest, purest, most real stories I have seen on tv in a while and to take it away from America and the fans is just upsetting and wrong. This is a real life issue that people face everyday and if you can't handle reality, then I don't think the network needs to be making television.
