I support this petition. Look what happened when the Matrix switched the 'Oracle' ... just lost the visual, lost the dream quality. Batman changed from Katie to Maggie and it was ok, frankly they didn't seem like the same character. That is the point, if the character is explicitly the previous movie character than you cannot change ... sorry marvel , you will lose more money on cheedle than you are saving on howard. And you will lose the dream quality and that's what we pay for .

I support this petition. I think it's important to note that I do not dislike Cheadle as he is an amazing actor and was fantastic in movies such as "Traffic". However, I don't think he's a good fit for this role, and I strongly dislike the effect on the overall continuity of a character when decisions are made to replace the actors to certain characters. For example, the recast of Rachel Dawes in The Dark Knight still bothers me to this day. Please don't make the same mistake with Iron Man.

Nothing against Don Cheadle, loved him in Oceans, but come on. You don't change a core character especially in a sequal. TH is a much better WarMachine than Cheadle. He played the role so well in IM and on screen chemistry was great. I refuse to watch it in theaters if they don't get him back.
