I am a 39 year-old loser who lives in my mother's basement and who has nothing better to do than be a nerd and obsess about a third-rate actor playing a third rate character in a movie aimed at pre-pubescent geeks. I think Terence Howard is just yummy! I like Iron Me. Me have fun at movie. Whee!
I support this petition. I think that even if there is a valid reason for the decision that was made, the lack of comment to the public on the studio's part was a big mistake. Its still the studio's choice, but the studio's in it to make money, which means knowing who your market is, and how they respond to your "product"
I support this petition. Its ridiculous to change an actor now, Marvel must know that a large proportion of the people who went to see iron man 1 would be fans of the comic and know that war machine was coming, and therefore would have seen Howard in that light, and now they're changing him, not only ruining continuity but also the belief of the fans. This could have serious backlashes on future superhero casting, no studio wants to buy an actor out of an exlcusive contract like with Billy Dee Williams and Batman Forever.
To make this drastic a change mid-stride is ridiculous. Howard must not be replaced. It's like telling kids there's a Santa Claus and then dressing up a drunken bum in a costume. Granted that's gross hypebole to make a point but I'm seriously upset about the news of Howard being replaced. The look of utter childlike glee in Howard's eyes when he looked at the Mk II suit and said 'See you later' -sold- me on his portrayal of Rhodes.

Marvel what are you thinking? Don Cheadle sucks, you can't switch actors. Howard was great in the movie. Your so greedy and backstabbing Marvel Studios, I know you tried not paying Stan Lee for the Spider-Man movies.

it was a great role for him . in a great f-ing movie. changing it would be idiotic. not that cheadle is a bad actor, hes great in everything. but this role should stay with howard.
I support this petition. Cheadle is a great actor but he is in no way Terrance Howard. Cheadle could have played the part well in IM1 and and we would then explect him to play the part in IM2, but Howard has made the character his own, dont take that away from us or him.
I support this petition because continuity and common sense should tell you Howard is the best choice. No offense to Don but he isn't cut out for this role.
