I support this petition. Terence is on of the best actors in Hollywood right now and was great in the first film. The rapport between him and downey was fantastic, and he was highly believable in the role, and highly believable as War Machine. Big mistake to replace him in my opinion, Don Cheadle alright but he's not in the same league, and anyway it sort of just spoils the whole experience for me now. I don't think theres any chance that terence howard will now be in Iron Man 2, but i just wanted to go on record about how dumb this move was. What next, all change for the avengers movie with seann william scott as iron man?

Given the recent news about Howard being paid the most off Iron Man, I find it highly unlikely that Marvel will bring him back. Although i still support this petition, I just don't think its possible. If only Howard would go back to Marvel and accept the pay cut, then we'd all be happy, but I seriously doubt that'll happen.

this movie blew my mind i saw it on opening day and left the theater knowing i just saw one of the absolute best movies i have ever seen with the best actors to play each role....it will be so hard to see somone else as jim rhodes im not sure i will be able to see it. i really hope marvel studios comes to their senses soon

Marvel already nailed it perfectly in the casting process for Iron Man. No need to change that.

I support this petition. Don Cheadle is a brilliant actor, but he's not "Rhodey". Terrence Howard is exactly how I imagined Col. Jim Rhodes to look. And I was so looking forward to seeing him in the War Machine armour. Please Marvel, sort this out.
I support this petition fully. I have nothing against Don Cheadle. I think he is a great actor, and I loved him in movies like Crash and the Ocean's trilogy. But I not only am I completely against changing major (And yes, Rhodie's role is major) characters in big movies. I think Terrance Howard did a great job, and would love to see him being able to continue on in the next two Iron Man movies.

I support this petition. Do NOT recast Terrance Howard. He matches the comic book character perfectly and Don Cheadle (although a good actor) is not a suitable actor for this role. The original casting was the right one.
I support this petition. Howard is the perfect military-precise straight-man Rhodes to Downey's off-the-wall Stark. I think Cheadle's a great actor, but he has too much personality for the role of Rhodes. When you look at him on screen, you expect him to either say something funny or moving. You want a foil for Stark that highlights the contrast in their characters, not competition for the leading role.

comic books change the look of characters regularly, even Iron Man changed and evolved over the years with different artists. It is natural and normal, like it or not.
If it is so important for TH to be the reigning Roaddy, then he should negotiate down to a normal supporting actor salary and be grateful to have anything in these economic times. Plus that isn't this exactly what our precious Barack Obama wants us to do, spread the wealth around? Buck it up and take that medicine!
