Terrence was my favourite part of Iron Man, he brought life to a minimal character in the film, proving his acting skills and cementing him as Rhodey for any other sequels...I 100% support this petition.

You can't change a major supporting character like this. And Don Cheadle? He's a brilliant actor, yes, but he's NOT a War Machine kind of guy.
I just finally watched Iron Man. So, I go online to check up on what possible sequels might await as I enjoyed it quite a bit, and read about the Avengers and such. There's nothing I hate more than changing an actor for the same character throughout a series of movies (unless it is truly warranted, and Howard seemed to fit the role perfectly). For instance, I love that the same guy playing the old Emperor in Return of the Jedi was the same actor who played the younger version of him in the newer movies, even if they weren't done as well as the old ones. That, to me, was awesome. So, nothing against Don Cheadle, but I fully support retaining Howard as Rhodes in any upcoming sequels and/or spinoffs.
I support this petition. There's no need to recast Howard, Cheadle is a great actor but he's hardly going to pull in more people to this kind of film than would see it anyway. Plus, I don't see Cheadle fitting the role as War Machine, especially over Howard. Stop being such interfering, cynical half wits and let Faverau get on with it.

Don Cheadle is a great actor. But he's not James Rhodes. That's the job of Terrence Howard. War Machine is James Rhodes and James Rhodes is Terrence Howard. There is no other way.

It's unfair to Howard, he is ideal and has set up the character rather nicely. They say it's too late to change it because the contract has already been signed. Let me put this in perspective marvel. You already broke one contract for who knows why and your supporters don't agree, so breaking another contract isn't really going to do much worse to you if it means fixing a mistake that we in this petition feel gravely needs correcting. It's not about which actor is best or more popular it's about the quality and performance of that character for the film. Terrence Howard has already one over the fans and audience he's liked for the role and seen as the character, it makes no sense you change him with no legitimate reason.
Please? Come on, do it for the fans? And Terrence, cmon take a cut, we all know your worth it, but you're not "highest paid actor of the film" worth it.
It is pure "hollywood suicide" to replace Howard in Iron Man 2, quit quibbling over money and coming up with phoney excuses and just pay the man - and give the rest raises - don't make the mistake and end up in the "crappy sequeal" movie flops - Please - Iron Man surprised me, but that was because of the interactions between the characters - including the "tension and friendship" between Terrence and Robert's characters.
I would NEVER support this petition. Guy is a crap actor at best and played a pimp and oh wow got a great review. The same year I might add that an award that used to mean something went to a song called "It's hard for a pimp". Come on guys
I support this petition. Replacing major characters ruins sequels, Howard was great in the first one, I do like Don Cheadle, but it doesn't matter who you change it to, it won't work.
I support this petition. I will be very, very disappointed if Terrence Howard doesn't appear as Rhodey - he made the character his own and I hope I get to see him in the sequel. I think Iron Man II would be ruined by such an unnecessary replacement. Give Terrence Howard his role back!
If it wasn't for us then Iron Man wouldn't have been the success it was. Maybe if we don't go to the sequel then the movie bigheads will see that we do matter.
I love Don Cheadle, but i dont think he's right for the role of Jim Rhodes. I also hate when films lose Continuity. Please just bring back Howard Marvel.
