I support this petition. I was in shock when I heard the news of the replacement. Disappointed. Apparently, downey felt upstaged by the stand out performance of T.H. I love D.C. just not for this role especially after the character was already introduced and commented of next time to be replaced. It feels unauthentic. I'm sure T.H. could have taken a pay cut or something for this prized role. Because when I watch this movie I will compare it to what could have been.

I thought Terrence Howard was awesome in the first film. I was really looking forward in see him as War Machine in the next one. Please bring him back.
Terrence Howard truley stated that he really couldn't wait to be War Machine in the sequel. There absolutely no sense in taking him out. I mean c'mon, he'd just gotten started on this huge project. Please, Marvel, for us, don't do this.
I support this petition. Terrence Howard is better for the part. I like Don, but i just dont think he fits the part in the movie. And you can see he's not the sidekick superhero type actor. If not Terrence Howard at least someone better to fit the part. But since thats not going to happen because no one can fill Terrence's shoes, then keep him. He's the best.
It's a really shame to have to say this, but it's all about the looks. They both are great actors, but Howard's looks are the right ones. Cheadle is just too skinny.
I support this petition! Changing the face and character of Rhodey is a BAAAAAD idea. I am one of the worlds biggest IRONMAN fans, and I think this will be a big blow to the franchise. A franchise that I have waited 30+ years to see created and with such an incredible 1st movie, it deserves to be an even better 2nd one. How could this be when changing such a prolific character? It just saddens me to know that it will change the whole face of the movie. Nothing more to say. EXCEPT...THANKS FOR GETTING THIS PETITION GOING FRIEND!!

Although I know Don Cheadle is a great actor, the role in Iron Man BELONGS to Terrence Howard. That was the only reason I saw the movie. If he isn't in it, then foreget it!
I support this petition.Please reconsider hiring Terrance Howard, he is an excellent actor and just as good as mr. Chiddle, but for continuity sake and fans every where don't change actors like this unnescesaarily - it would be like Warner replacing Heath ledger as the Joker (if he hadn't died) which is not the case with Mr. Howard.
Please reconsider, no actor wishes to lose work, or is this about something else about him specificly?

I support this petition. In my book, recasting a sequel is one of the worst things you can do in the movie industry. Howard made "Rhodey" come to life and represented him in the first movie. Howard set the tone and gave the first impression. It would be quite a distraction and eye sore for him to be replaced. One of the things I really disliked in "Dark Knight" was how they replaced Katie Holmes for Rachel. I was probably going to see Ironman 2 several times before I found out about Howard's replacement; now I might just wait for it to come out on DVD.
I support this petition. I do not think its right to change the character at all. Terrence Howard did a great job as Jim Rhodes. The thing that really kills me, is that its not just some other light skinned guy that they're replacing him with. Its a very dark, entirely noticeable individiual. I hate when movies recast characters.
I am so angry at Marvel Studios I can barely contain myself. Replacing an actor when he was a part of a 300 million dollar movie and screwing with the chemistry of the cast is a MAJOR BONE HEAD MOVE. I mean, c'mon!!!! If it ain't broke don't fix it. I can't believe this is even going to happen. I just can't believe Marvel is that STUPID!
I support this petition. Don Cheadle is a good actor, but Terrence Howard brought a uniquely softspoken kindness and quirkiness that really made Rhodey shine. Cheadle is simply too famous to slip into this role unnoticed.
Hey, Marvel needs to wise up. Iron Man was their studios big risk movie; they finally make a movie for themselves and Terrence Howard was a part of that. I cant say its a smart move to replace him, I wont pay to see the movie if he's not in it. Terrence Howard made the role his, nothing against Don Cheadle, he's a fine actor but it'll break the illusion for me(all because someone doesnt respect their fans). I buy comics as well, but if Marvel decides to be jerk on this(and they do have control over it) I guess I'll just let DC and Image have all my money. No one would even think of making a Batman sequel w/ the Joker in it, it would be a slap in the face to Heath Ledger's performance. I don't see how this is any different, it maybe worse as the actor is still available and was kept outta loop. Anyway bring back Terrence Howard and give Don Cheadle a role as Black Panther or something(hell give him his own movie for it).
