Why did the company (Keebler, I assume) succumb to not tyring to compete with Oreos by Nabisco? The unique flavor of the vanilla filling in the original Hydrox aka sunshine co. and the crispier chocolate double wafers (these were far superior to Oreos' mushy chocolate wafers) make it the clear favorite. I believe if marketed as no trans fatty acids too that a re- launch of the Hydrox would grab market share again.

I just saw something about Hydrox cookies on the History Channel and wondered what happened to them, only to find out that they're no longer made --- which is a shame 'cos they were pretty good. I remember eating them when I was younger (which wasn't too long ago).
