I strongly support this petition. As a cultural resources professional who has spent the last 14 years working in Illinois, I'm distressed at the loss that this represents to the people of Illinois. Historic sites help remind us who we are as a people. Closing them severs this link.
I support this petition. Govenor Blagojevich, I CANNOT believe you are making these cuts that will close these historic sites. You are doing the state's tourism industry and the nation's historical legacy a GREAT disservice in doing this. Budget cuts can (and are) made elsewhere every day. Please do not do this.

I support this petition because this house symbolizes the great State of Illinois and the many diverse Illinois communities which are graced by the presence of internationally famous Frank Lloyd Wright architecture.
Governor Blagojevich should be ashamed of himself. Funnelling money away from the IHPA, that does great work preserving our history, to cover his own tracks and faulty accounting. For Shame, Governor. For shame.
I support this petition. Properties like the Dana Thomas house and other landmark buildings must remain open. The Illinois Historic Preservation Agency must remain funded to protect historic structures throughout Illinois.
I support this petition. What more can be done to destroy the economy and the history than withdrawing the support of Lincolnland and the backbone of the Middle Class people of Illinois???
This is a textbook example of poor governance. The people of Illinois, and because of the Lincoln bicentennial, the people of this nation, deserve better.
