I support this petition. In the year of Abraham Lincoln's bicentennial, it is inconceivable that Illinois would shut down these historic sites! Please restore the funding.
I support this petition. I am amazed that state parks and historic sites have to suffer because of government mismanagement. Future generations should not have to lose these because of improper oversight now.

As a licensed counselor, I believe that access to our cultural history is essential to emotional development because it helps to develop a positive sense of self based on a positive vision of where we came from. It also helps people to connect to each other through a common cultural background an an awareness of shared struggles and triumphs in our collective past.
I support this petition. I went to most of these places with my 4-H group when younger. I learned the History about much of these locations and was able to experience it through the imagination and visual effects of it. It woud be a WASTE to close them.
I was born and raised in Illinois and have always been proud of my home state. It is so important to maintain the richness of the history of the state that has given us so many great leaders.
I support this petition. An entire branch of my family came west from Illinois in 1850. They had lived in Crawford County since the early 1800's. I use and need the information from these websites often. Please restore their funding. Thanks!
