I support this petition. i DON'T support the closure of our state historic sites. Keep in mind, that closure means that the grass will grow, and windows will be broken historic artifacts will be lost. These closed sites are the property of the people of the state, we must not let them be closed and lost forever.
I support this petition. Who elected this guy? And why? This kind of history must be remembered by those who would run for office and especially by the citizens who put them there. This is outrageous!
I support this petition wholeheartedly. Since much of the industry in Illinois has been chased out of the state, tourism is the only and best chance this state has of keeping some taxable income in this state.
I support this petition. We need to make history available for the future generations of America to experience. Continue to make history live for our future generations by keeing these sites open.
I support this petition. Reopen Fort De Chartes! We drive over 12 hours to visit this fort and have people from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Indiana, Colorado, and Illinois coming to this place every year. Think of all that residue income that comes into to the state of Illinois. Without this historic site we will look for a different event in a different state. Huge loss !
I support this petition. Please save Ft. Des Chartres! I'm from out of state, and I can't tell you how many people come there from many other states regularly.
I support this petition. Preserve history and learn from it or be doomed to repeat it! Here's to the next eight years and many, many bicentennial celebrations!
