I completely support this petition. Please preserve the Vandalia Capitol building. Abe Lincoln served there and it is important for the former capitol of Illinois to be preserved for U.S. History. We cannot toss aside historical buildings and history itself like we do junk mail. Vandalia is my hometown but much of my professional life I have lived in the deep south. Believe me, we really needed to win that Civil War.
