I support this petition. Please do not close these historic sites. My family regularly visits the Dana Thomas House, one of Frank Lloyd Wright's finest prairie style homes. We also need to preserve our Native American heritage in Illinois by not closing sites like the Hauberg Indian Museum. Please keep our historic sites open.
I support this petition.
And hopefully we can save the Illinois historic sites from mice and critters, that are always looking for a new home. I wish Blagovich would find one.
I support this petition. We need to krrp our state history alive. Also, we cannot afford to lose the tourists' dollars that are spent when visiting these sites and the state parks increase our revenue from sales tax.
Is not laying off all these people creating an economic difficulty; not only for them but for the stores and businesses they support? I support this petition.
I support this petition. Stop wasting our money...nice house in Ravenswood Mr. Blagojevich, have you visited Tony Rezco lately to thank him for his efforts?
This is absolutely ridiculous. Our state parks and historical sites are so much more important than this. We stopped Blagojevich from getting rid of our Illini & Saluki Amtrak lines, we can stop this too. Don't let him ruin Illinois history.
I support this petition.
Our history is important, not just to our children, but to us. It serves as a reminder of where we've come from, and just how much we've learned.
I believe that everyone should have a chance to visit the outdoors as well as get in touch with our history. We wont have any of these things if noone is preserving it. How else are we going to be able to enjoy these things without having state parks and historic sites. Do we want our children to grow up only knowing the suburbia that surrounds them? I think not.
I support this petition. Our historic sites are irreplaceable educational tools and tourist attractions. I am appalled that the gov. has not visited any of the sites slated for closure - and has judged them as not worthy.
