Insomniac Games was the original developer of Spyro the Dragon video games. The first three originally appeared on the Sony Playstation, and were critical successes as well as being enjoyed by many who owned them.

After the original trilogy ended in the year 2000 with "Year of the Dragon", Insomniac Games sold Spyro to other developers. The game immediately following, "Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly" was a critical failure and filled with glitches.

Since then, Spyro games have not at all enjoyed the success since the original trilogy on the Sony Playstation.

This petition was created since I, among various others, are disappointed in the quality of recent games. My theory is that if Insomniac Games were to acquire the license for Spyro again, they would not only benefit from the likely success of the title, but fans of the series would enjoy a well-made continuation to earlier games.

NOTE: Insomniac Games does still develop games. They are known for the Ratchet and Clank series as well as the most successful launch title for the Sony Playstation 3, Resistance: Fall of Man.
