We the undersigned are customers who have purchased an iPhone 3G from Apple with a mandatory sole-source service agreement with AT&T. We are all experiencing frequent consistent failures in the form of dropped calls and/or network connections. These issues have persisted after the iPhone 2.1 software upgrade.

It seems clear from common experience that neither Apple nor AT&T have done the right thing by (a) expediently identifying the source of the problem and as individual companies providing both solution and reparation to customers, nor (b) recognizing that in the choice of a sole source partnership the companies bear collective responsibility and working together to provide appropriate recognition and reparation of the problem.

This petition is offered primarily as a means by which customers can document the sheer numbers of us who are experiencing this problem. We sincerely hope that both Apple and AT&T will take appropriate steps to recognize and provide reparations for the fact that we have paid for but are not receiving the value of integrated product and service functionality that was advertised and contracted.

Apple and AT&T--please do the right thing and take decisive action to address these widespread problems and concerns experienced by many customers.
