how much longer are this shoddy, lying govt.going to keep on trampling all over our rights and freedoms in subservience to their own personal ambitions and greed. they need to be kicked out asap.
No scientific basis, detrimental to conservation! based on prejudice and not evidence! Sounds all too familiar!!! Lets not allow any more 'unjust law' passed by spiteful prejudicial ministers.
I am glad that recent investigations have shown a 6 fold increase in the population of the Irish Hare in the last 2 years. This will dispell the myth that the Hare: Iris or Brown, is an endangered species in the British Isles.
I wish this goverment would leave us alone and stop branding us as Hooligans. We are at the minute law abiding citizens who are passionate about our belief's. and way of life.
Is it ever right to take the life of another creature to further human enjoyment? If the answer is no we tread an impossible path.
Given that would be impossible who is justified in drawing lines that prevent hunting but allow pest control in gardens. What about habitat destruction due to holiday developments. We do continual damage to the world and its contents in the name of human pleasure - people want cheap chicken so they can spend more on DVDs and Wine.
He who lives in glass houses should not throw stones.
The Burns enquiry showed no real evidence of great suffering and cousing hares with muzzled dogs as in Ireland doesn't sound the end of the world to me. These coursers give much back to the hare in terms of habitat managemet and should be allowed to continue.
I am appalled that those who live and work in the English countryside are continually discriminated against and suffer further infringements of their freedom every time the government make a decision regarding the countryside. This certainly doesn't happen in rural France!
Another example of ignorance. Why when there is so much violence/war in the world are politicians so concerned about protection vermin and destructive animals
I am not 'a toff', a Tory or a hunting man but I abhor deceit. This labour government is pursuing socialist revolution without the honesty of placing its true agenda before the people. It is well aware that such an approach would be rejected as firmly in the future as it has been in the past but its actions to date, not least the dismantling of the prior forms of order and government, the denigration of potential seats of opposition and a fiercely redistributive agenda reveal its true purpose. Whilst socialism might be a legitimate political programme it is now promoted by stealth rather than argument.Centralisation focuses power, an external threat creates a climate of fear, local government is no more than a fig leaf covering the implementation of directives from the centre. The assault on hunting is designed to neutralise the voice of at least one focus of opposition by attempting to to associate it with illegality and possibly even with the much vaunted threat of terrorism. To ensure the security of this stealthy revolution liberty is being eroded often in the name of security. The next steps include the assault on indpendent schools and hospitals through the Charity Bill and the assault on private property has already begun with the new compulsory purchase and other legislation . Do not make the mistake that the issue of Irish hares has much to do with personal predjudice. Whilst such predjudice may exist, ministerial behaviour is closely controlled and this action has at least the tacit approval of Blair and the other Directors of 'the Project'; It will be regarded as contributing to shaping the battlegound for the next assault on traditional evolutionary politics. These people have learnt their lessons from Liddell-Hart as well as Trotsky and the only answer is an equally ruthless and indirect approach. I do hope that we are now hearing the wake up call!
let country folk decide on countryside issues. They will preserve the hare in order to preserve their sport. Let other folk think about the old people who are battered or killed by thugs.
