Is this another instance of implementing personal or political predjudice without (or worse ignoring) any scientific data on the conservation factors involved?
As Far as Blair & his followers are concerned, the countryside, and all that goes with it, are nothing !!!! They had better wake up. We will be a stronger force than ever he or they, ever thought of.
We must stand up against those deceitful politicians who, without reference to any facts, use hunting issues as a cover for their own personal agendas against people they don't like. They are a disgrace to parliamentary democracy.
Is this a democracy or a dictatorship we live in? I would say the latter. Maybe it's time for us to dictate through the ballot box what we think of this government.
Two children are killed and two seriously handicapped in the UK every week through abuse and neglect. Thousands of people have died in Iraq. When are UK politicians and legislators going to get their priorities right? Also, if it is the future of the hare that is the issue, when is something going to be done about illegal hare coursing - by far the biggest threat to the hare population.
Keep Hunting, Ban Wind-Turbines. Both actions will conserve the countryside and wildlife. Also saving tax-payers a considerable amount of money in the process.
The Minister's objectives are not based on scientific or environmental evidence. They appear to be motivated by the opportunity to misuse her authority to indulge in personal predjudice.
Ironically, hunting conserves its quarry as the hunters take pains to safeguard stocks, conditions, habitat etc. I wish the powers- that- be would do their 'homework' intelligently & take the pains to be better informed about things before they want to ban them.
