It is frightening to think, these people are in charge of this country. They have made such an appalling mess of the hunting act; can any of their decisions be safe?
If you try to get the police to stop illegal coursing by travellers they don't want to know, how on earth are they going to police the proposed ban in the UK ? Wouldn't it make sense if Government produced workable legislation, rather than clutter up the statute book with bigotted, unworkable,costly legislation, that has little to do with animal welfare.
We must remember that this government is utterly committed to the destruction of tradition and heritage which it sees as an obstacle to "modernisation". Its ultimate goal is a completely homogenoous (and of course deeply grateful) population ruled over by a commissar class who know what is best for you
I seem to remember many of ou UK cabinet members being great dfenders of free speech and civil liberties 30-35 years ago. What has happened to their collective moral conscience? Ousted by stronger older prejudices of social warfare. Bollocks to the lot of them.
