I support this petition. I have been an avid reader ever since I learned to read - especially fiction. I believe there have been, are, and will be many children like I was. I have never come across a piece of Islamic Fiction in my library by accident - but I have come across plenty of unsavory tomes. As a English speaking convert, I would adore have books in English with islamic themes so I have proper role models. Therefore, I add that this type of book would not only be good for dawah, but also for strengthening the newbies like me. Fiction is not just for children. I want to see Islamic Science Fiction and horse stories. Yes, an muslima equestrian - I want to read THAT book!

I have taught English in Saudi Arabia for many years and am interested in writing fiction books that help teach English language for Moslem children ...

My boys do have to read as a requirement for school. I would so love to give them books that help support an active, Muslim youth culture.

I strongly support this. Every child and adult needs Islamic books, fiction and non-fiction. With all the non Islamic books circulating about that actually encourages bad things such as eating pork, calibrating un allowed holidays and so forth, we need books for our children to read and a verity at that so they don't get tired of reading the same books over and over. It is crucial for the youth of the Ummah.
