May Jag run freely at the Rainbow Bridge. I pray these irresponsible handlers pay dearly for the rest of their lives. Much love to the owners and lovers of Jag.
This is terrible. No animal should be left unattended when above ground level, especially not with something around it's neck. This is completely irresponsible. You wouldn't do it to an infant, why do it to an animal?
I'm just learning about the show circuit and I know better than to leave a dog unattended like that! They need to be honest with Jag's owners.
NEVER assume an animal will be safe for even two seconds. ALWAYS within an arm's reach of supervision...ALWAYS...fr om fellow groomer and veterinary technician....
This should have NEVER happened ! AKC MUST GET INVOLVED.No dog should Ever have to suffer this painful death. No dog should ever be left unattended on a table. The golden world has suffered a terrible loss. AND SHAME ON YOU BOTH DENNY & AUDRA.You need to come out with the truth as to what happened to Jag. AND YOU BOTH NEED TO BE BANISHED FROM ALL AKC EVENTS ! Our Deepest Sympathy to Janis & Teddy. AND TO JAG YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
I agree that if an accident can be avoided by simply not placing a dog unattended or tethered to the table, then I agree the solution is to not allow unattended dogs to be left on a table leashed and at all othertimes to be protected from self injury by having an attendant to the dog at all times it is tethered to table.
animals are like children and should never be left alone in the first place.and now the dog is lost and the owners are devastated. it could have been avoided had the dog not been left unattended.
If a noose is on the dog, I believe the groomer should be within 6 feet of the dog due to the possibility of the dog's injuring itself. Dogs should never be left untended on a grooming table. We are all saddened by this tragedy.
This is what happens when people don't show any concern about animals these people should be made to pay for there crime against this dog
My heart goes out to Jag and his owners, I have seen many many dogs left unattended on grooming tables at area dog shows (New England) with no one in view, also as a vet tech I have witnessed what this can and does do to a dog IF they survive. I always go to the Club booth for each show and inform them of the unattended dog.
God Bless you Jag, go and play with my Angel Rowdman!
All clubs need to do is include this as a rule in their premium lists - it's so simple. Dog show superintendents should be asked to state in premium lists that no dog is to be left unattended on a grooming table.
