To honor Jag's memory and support Janis and Teddy at this heartbreaking time. May this senseless tragedy never befall another dog again. 10 feet max from a grooming table and breakaway nooses.
May Jag's owners someday find the peace the Jag is already enjoying. May they meet again at the Rainbow Bridge to spend eternity together. May the shamrocks fall softly....
My heart breaks for Jag and his loving family, and for all the other dogs and families before him that sufered a similar fate. Romp free and joyfully. You will not be forgotten!
I send my deepest sympathy and my sincere condolances to Jag's family in regards to the tragic and needless loss of Jag ! No words can take away the pain and the ache that we all feel in our hearts ! May you not have died in vain Jag ! May this tragedy save other dogs from the same fate ! Jag, I looked up at the sky tonight and saw a new brightly shinning star and I know in my heart it is you ! Rest gently my dear boy and know that hundreds of people have grown to love you and that a small piece of you shall forever remain in their hearts !
In memory of Jag: A beautiful, innocent and trusting Golden Retriever who died at the hands of negligent and careless human beings. We will never forget Jag -- may he serve as a symbol that we, as responsible dog owners, will not tolerate such arrogance, neglect and horrific conduct in the world of dog shows. My heart BREAKS for Jag and his family -- Please know that his death was not in vain -- Jag will NEVER be forgotten. Rest in peace sweet doggie.
Dog breeding, handling and grooming has become an industry - and has faced issues created by the commericlism of animal related sports and activities.
Much like the trials faced by our elderly in this country, our pets have no voice. Stand up and give our pets a chance - make groomers, handlers and breeders responsible for the lives they are entrusted with.
My thoughts are with you at this time. I hope the AKC and the CKC willboth look at this issue and do something about it very quickly. May his death be not in vain.
The ones responsible for this horrific act deserve the same fate.....Jag.....be free from pain and enjoy your eternity at the bridge. Our hearts are broken for your loving family!!
Absolutely sickening. These people who refer to themselves as "handlers" deserve exactly to hang each from a noose until every last breath is gone from them!!!!! Than, they will be "handled" the way they each deserve to be!! My heart and tears go to the loved ones of JAG. Hopefully he is full of life and enjoying all his new found freedom at the Bridge.
This is such a horrible accident. I hope the handlers are found guilty and banned from ever showing dogs again.
I will always think of Jag while grooming and how senseless his death was.
Gosh, this story is horrible and to think the people couldn't at least be upfront about what happened, and make the owners go through even more torment than they needed to...My deepest sympathy to all the people who loved and knew this dog. Its just AWFUL!
I hope that the outcome of this is a eye opener to the things that a lot of us don't see that go on "behind the scenes" per say.
This is a VERY tragic accident, and i hope the truth comes out and hopefully jag and his human family can rest and finally find comfort in something.
For now rest asure that the ones who did this to them will have to answer someone eventually even if they don't confess and tell the courts, or jag's family what really happened.
I also think that owner/handlers are the way to go. 100%!!!!!!
