I met Audra and Denny at a dog show in my homwtown. I own and love three goldens. If Jag truly died in this way while in their care, God help them. My deepest sympathy goes out to Janis and Teddy.
And now, another poor dog entrusted to these "handlers" has died mysteriously! Hey AKC! Why don't you get off your lazy A$$E$ and ban these people already???
There are wonderful handlers who would never leave the animals in their care in any sort of danger. Obviously, these people are not people who deserve to be involved in any animal sports.
Another reason why professional handlers should be banned from showing dogs. They're not it for the health and well-being of the animal, they do it for the money. As far as I'm concerned, this constitutes criminal negligence and the handlers should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. What the AKC decides is secondary. These people should be jailed and/or fined.
This is just heartbreaking, The handlers should at least come forward and let the janis and teddy know what happened and where their dog is and should be held accountable for their actions.
This is a terrible tragedy I am so sorry for your loss. I am in agreement that these handlers need to be held criminally accountable for their actions.
AS A BREEDER & LOVER OF GOLDENS, I KNEW "JAG". AND THIS IS SUCH A HEART BREAKING GREAT LOSS TO THE BREED.HE WAS FAR TOO YOUNG TO HAVE HAD SUCH A TRAGIC SUFFERING TO HIS LIFE. MY HEART BREAKS AS I THINK OF HIM SO OFTEN AND THE PAIN HE MUST HAVE ENDURED.I'M IN VERY GOOD STANDING WITH THE AKC, AND THEY NEED TO TAKE SERIOUS ACTION AND GET THIS LAW PASSED. FOR THE SAKE OF ALL DOGS WHO ATTEND SHOWS AND GO TO GROOMERS TOO ! BOTH HANDLERS NEED TO BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT AND BE BANISHED FROM ALL AKC EVENTS. ALSO I'D LIKE TO SEE THE HUMANE SOCIETY GET INVOLVED AS TO HOW THEY CARE FOR OTHER DOGS.BUT FIRST JAG NEEDS TO BE FOUND, SO PLEASE HELP JANIS & TEDDY HOW EVER YOU CAN.EVERY DOG LOVER NEEDS TO SIGN THIS PETITION, AND GET THE AKC TO PASS THIS LAW. This is heartbreaking, and these handlers need to be held criminally accountable for their actions. Animals are precious and voiceless, they need to protected and loved as if they are our own children. These people need to be punished, it won't bring Jag or any other animal that this has happened to back, but it may/will prevent it from happening again.
This is a horrible and very sad situation for the dog owners. No one who entrusts their beloved pets should ever have to endure this kind of pain. The simple act of being watchful around animals is a privledge, one that everyone should take seriously whether the animal belongs to you or not. Anyone who leaves an animal unattended is foolish! AKC regulations need to change and if everything I have heard about in Jag's case are true then the handlers should be prosecuted as well as banned for life from all AKC events. My thoughts and prayers go to Janis and Teddy and peace to Jag always!
This individual needs to be held accountable for their actions to the full extent of the law. There is no excuse for the irresponsibility, and then the lie on top of it. PLEASE PASS THE LAW!!!!!
All animals should be taken care of as if they are the most precious of gift as in my book they are. No animal should be left alone tied to a table, anything can happen. I hope and pray it never happens again. God Bless the animals!
