Such unprofessional, uncaring, untrustworthy people should not be anywhere near such gentle loving animals. I hope they are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!
My heart goes out to Jag's family. This act was criminal and sheer neglect. Would they leave a child on the table alone with a noose around its neck? It's appalling and must be stopped! They should be banned from AKC
My sincere condolences to Jag's owners. He was truly beautiful.I don't show my Golden but I do get her groomed. I will certainly be double checking on their practices
I live in the community these "handler's" call home. Many, many people spent hours looking for this magnificent boy when he was already gone and they knew it. Jag didn't deserve any of this. My prayers are with him and his owners.
It's a shame that professional handlers let this happen - God bless Jag and his owners. This is a simple thing to resolve - don't leave the dog unattended!
This is so sad. I can't believe the stupidity behind what happened to poor Jag. I, too, hope that these handlers are permanently suspended from ever showing dogs again.
This should have been a law a long time ago! To leave a dog unatteneded in a noose on a grooming table is more than stupid - it's criminal and a handler should know better!
I groomed for eight years in NY- my assistant and I never left a dog on a grooming table and never went more than two foot away from a dog on a grooming table. How much time does it take to get a dog off a grooming table? 3 to 5 seconds? 5 seconds more to put him or her in a crate?
These people should never be allowed to work with dogs again!
How sad and how terrible to loose such a wonderful Golden. The Handlers should be suspended. Not only for leaving Jag on his table but creating a lie about the dog running away...
Jag served you well in life, may he guide you way back in death. May you tears aid in healing your broken heart. Deepest condolences on you loss, Sandra
My sincere sympathy to both Teddy, Janis and families Hope this kind of incident will never happen again. Hopefully AKC will do something about this kind of thing. Too many dogs are left strung up on the table without supervision. Penalties should be the way to stop this kind of dangerous practice.
Condolences to Jag's family, This is extremely unfortunate. I hope legislation gears towards preventing tradgedys like these, and punishes those that allow it.
