PETITION TO THE House of Commons

WHEREAS:
1. Karla Holmolka has recently been freed from prison.
2. Karla Holmolka has not been tried for her crimes, but was allowed to plea bargain ot a lesser charge.

3. The victims of Karla Holmolka's crimes families have survived to witness this final indignity and have had their pleas to deny her parole ignored.

supporting information...

Women are capable of good and evil, the same as men. They are therefore accountable for their actions and deserving of the same punishments for the same crimes. Karla Holmolka did not need Paul Bernardo to bring out the worst in her. She is as dangerous as any murderer. She is herself a repeat offender -- a serial rapist and murderer.

There is always the prevailing desire to find women innocent. To find reasons for their behavior. Inavriably men are responsible for their actions and women are driven to them. Failing to establish that, and if no denial is possible in the face of the evidence, women's sentences are plea-bargained down to a lesser charge, which, incidentally, often removes the crime from the category of murder.

The court's inability to accept that Holmolka has her own violent tendencies has serious consequences for the victims. Without admitting that women can be and often are violent, we are unable to take precautions to protect victims from women's violence.

No attempt was made to rehabilitate Holmolka who is a potential danger to society -- especially children. Rather than to deal with the stark reality of Holmolka's crimes, she was let off lightly in exchange for evidence she supplied to convict her partner. By treating her so lightly we give women the message that is is all right for them to be violent.

Karla Holmolka should not be free. She belongs in prison. At her next parole check, she should be apprehended and re-introduced to the prison system, where she can be removed from potentially harming others.

Holmolka is a very scary person. She not only kidnapped and raped strangers, but her younger sister. Nothing was out of bounds for her.Just as you can't grow a new limb, you can't grow a conscience. She needs to be locked away from the public for our safety.

I support this petition....Karla should not have any rights at all. She doesn't deserve to live a free life when she took away other peoples' lives. I hope she rots in hell.

This is absolutely disgusting. There is no way I can be convinced that it is reasonable to have a person like Karla free to do as she pleases.

Obtaining 5,000 signatures enables us to compel a member of Parliament to present this petition to the speaker of the House and put this matter to a vote. I have seen 5 times this many signatures generated to save a Television show. I am confident this matter will receive equal or greater merit.
