Paul Blackthorne would literally revive the series and give James Bond the complexity of character that made the earlier Bond films so utterly compelling.
I never thought anyone would be good enough to replace Pierce but Paul fits like a glove. I saw him in 24 and he definitely has a slyness and confidence that when hand in hand with sex appeal is the perfect package.
I totally agree, after seeing him in 24 how could they not consider him for 007, like all the Bonds he oozes sex appeal, ladies just imagine him in a tuxcedo!
I don't really mind who is the next James Bond, as long as he's as good as the others.This guy is good for the part though, with the accent and smoothness that all Bonds possess, so he'll do well. MAKE MORE BOND FILMS. NOW.

He's really perfect for the part. It doesn't matter that most people don't know him. All of the past Bonds were not really know. So C'mon EON Productions, at least give this man a shot to play 007.
He would look and sound the part, but he is a virtual unknown. Maybe the most unknown out of all of the Bonds. People may not accept him. A lot of talk recently has been about casting for various roles in different films, so I think the makers of the Bond franchise will be carefull when choosing a replacement to keep the fans happy.
I just happened upon this site as I was trying to find the actors name that played Stephan Saunders in 24. I agree that Paul would make an excellent Bond, James Bond.
I saw him on ER and 24, and he fits the Bond profile to a T! If they're afraid of using a not-so-famous star, then why not fill up the rest of the cast with more famous people (bad guys, and hot chicks).
I thought I was the only one that thought he'd be perfect for the next Bond. Just as I thought Pierce Brosnan was perfect when they picked him several years ago!
The actual idea of Paul playing James Bond never occurred to me until I saw this petition, but I totally agree with it! He's a certainty for the ladies!
When I first saw Paul Blackthorne on "24" all I could think of was James Bond. He's got that same tough look that Sean Connery always shown in his 007 films. He should seriously be considered for the role of James Bond
I thought the guy should be the next bond before I even found this page! Just glad that so many people agree! He's even played a character who was a former MI6 agent already in 24! Brosnan has been good, but he's had his day, and Blackthorne is just the perfect guy to takeover the role!
