Sign if you hereby would love to learn the Japanese language in schools. So far, they only have languages from Europe. They have NONE from the other continents! Japanese is just as easy to learn as French, Spanish, or German. Schools everywhere should teach Japanese to students. In a 2004 survey, it stated that learning Japanese has proved to make students more successful in their careers. Learning Japanese helps your brain get motivated to work harder on every-day choices and projects. Schools should definatly have Japanese as a language choice for grades 7+. Lots of kids I know would love, absolutely LOVE to take Japanese as a second language in schools. So, teachers everywhere, take note of the signitures below and request that Japanese be spoken throughout America!

Actually, Japanese is only spoken by about 11 million people worldwide. You know what language you should be learning? ARABIC!

And you hear the buzzer noise, I'm sorry, you lost. Japanese is a very difficult language to learn (I would know, I lived in Okinawa for a few years). It takes years to larn Japanese because of it's complexity. Get one pronunciation incorrect and you have accidentally told someone to fuck off (I learned quickly that mispronunciations are a big no-no). I reccomend "Japanese in 15 Minutes a Day" for studying it in your own time. I would support it, but it just isn't a realistic option unless it is taught in early middle school/late elementary school. P.S. I am an open anime addict, but don't try any Japanese on me, I am a little rusty as it has been five years since Okinawa.

I support this petition. I can totally agree with this. I took first year when I was a senior in high school and I absolutly loved it. its a very nice change from the redundant languages from europe which are mostly based off latin.

I definitely support this--- I know it would help me learn what they're saying on KH2! Hehehe, well, not only for that, but I think learning Japanese would be a great idea. Some schools in the US already teach it, so I don't get it. Why not the rest?
