Justice must be served. Canada needs to show the world, and in particular, Jassi's husband and her surviving loved ones that her mother and uncle are not above the law. Her mother is an aberration-to coldly see her daughter executed for some superficial point of custom.
The rights of the alleged killers are protected. What has happened to Jaswinder's rights? Nothing! As a Canadian, Jaswinder has the right to action, where there is strong evidence against her mother and uncle. But they are allowed to live free and easy in Canada with no consquences for their alleged actions. Canada used to take great strides to protect and get justice for its citizens. Now it seems that they lean towards not wanting to create a ruckus. I'm ashamed to call myself a Canadian. We must all speak out for Justice for Jaswinder. This case must NOT be allowed to remain hidden in the closet with no more action taken.
Where does money leads people today, and why money means more than loving a son or a daughter who wants to live, love and be loved by an unfortunate poorer partner but with a loving heart.
All parents should love their kids, no matter their choices, parents made them (the choice) and their Sons or Daughters came on this earth via them, so please think about why, they don't accept and understand the choice is for them to be happy..**Love IS PEACE....Money Is EVIL***
As if Canada is behind on something like this - too busy being the US's bitch in Iraq to be concerned with it's own citizenry [well that explains the last 10 months anyway]
because the right to live in the west should give us freedom of choice. Jassie's was taken away in an awful way. The chance to live in Canada should reflect this.
She was Canadian...
I support this petition am an african from Angola, am currently living in London England(UK) on the 15/09/06 around 6 am when i saw the movie i was shocked enough is enough of this, bring the muderes to justice
because no matter what EVERYONE has a right to love whoever they chose & to life...and the ones who "organized" this murder should be dealt with accordingly...by Canadian law seeing as how they are "free" to live their lives in Canada.
The canadian govt. must do what is right, and follow the laws of this country.i thought the laws of this country protected one against religious and cultural traditions that cause harm to a person? Bring THIS GIRL JUSTICE, so that her soul may rest in peace.
I believe all guilty ppl need to be brought to justice..it isn't right that the parents of this young woman live free in this country..then need to go to jail...I hope with signing this petition..I help send them there..for LIFE!
because she had a right to fall in love with someone who loved her just as much regardless if this person was rich or poor. Love is worth more than all the riches in the world.
This is a great tradgedy and an injustice. Jassi was Canadian and deserves to be treated as any Canadian. Her mother and uncle are in Canada and should be punished by the Canadian courts. One justice for all is what we need.
