Being Indian and working in the US for women's rights...this breaks my heart. Why can't we realize that love, respect, and family transcends everything...I know how hard life can be for women all around the world and it is horrifying that her mother...a woman..could have participated in this tragedy. May Jassi rest peacefully and may God protect her and all women in the world from things like this.
i support this petition because i am of an east indian race and i know how it feels for people in my culture..Us women are looked down upon if we go against our family and we make our family look bad if we marry somone that is a cast below us..and people need to realize that we are living in a different country and a different generation and no one cares about casts and who's higher or lower anymore..we need to treat everyone and everything the same..
Justice must be served in this case. What a horrifying crime! To do that to your own flesh and blood..inhuman! To let them get away with it, monstrous!

Because Jassi and Mithu did nothing wrong. They deserved to live a long and happy life together. She was murdered, plain and simple. She needs justice.
I will never understand or want to understand how any mother can take the life of their own child. I hope with all my heart that justice is brought to this young women and for all the women who are murdered for the same stupid reason.

Justice needs to be delivered for Jassi and Mithu from a humanity stand point.We are led to believe that there is equal justice for all however more and more i see in-equality. "Lady Justice" is depicted with a blindfold to give the impression that everyone is given the same treatment but it seems as if those blindfolds are see through.
too bad her family can get way with what they did. why cant they serve there time in prison like so many others can where is jassi's freedom like they have. it just not fair hat they can do this to a beautiful girl and get away with it.e courts open there eyes to see what they have done.
