We the undersigned believe that Kurt Cobain would be best portrayed and expressed by actor and singer Joe Anderson, best known for his role in the film "Across the Universe", in the upcoming biopic based off of the book "Heavier than Heaven". We believe this because of the following reasons.

1. Anderson's uncanny physical resemblance to Kurt
If one would watch the film "Across the Universe", one would see how much he resembles Kurt, from his hair, to his blue eyes, to his body type. He looks a lot like Kurt in this film, but he still bears a strong resemblance to Cobain in his other films as well, including "Control" and "The Ruins".
2. Anderson is not that well known
Joe Anderson is not an extraordinarily famous actor. While some may say this could be a drawback to how much money the film makes, we believe that the rich legacy and ongoing popularity of Kurt would draw just as many viewers without a big star playing Kurt. Not only would money be made, but Kurt's memory would be honored. And if a big star like Ryan Gosling, who was rumored to play Kurt, was cast, people could potentially only see Ryan Gosling when he is playing Kurt. They would not be able to get into Kurt's character because of Gosling's star power.
3. Joe Anderson can sing and play guitar
As evidenced in the 2007 Beatles tribute musical-movie "Across the Universe", Joe Anderson is a very good singer. Now, no one can recreate Kurt's raspy, powerful vocals, but if there are rehearsal scenes being shown in the film where lip-syncing is impossible, we are sure that Anderson could do Kurt's fantastic voice justice. He also plays guitar, as evidenced in the film "The 27 Club".
