johnny is a truly amazing actor! each role he plays is totally belivable and enchanting. He shouldnt be judged on his looks but come on the guy is truly amazing!!! Favourite film The Libertine and of course From Hell,HE DESERVES AN OSCAR FOR EVERY FILM HE HAS EVER BEEN IN. A REAL ENTERTAINER

Johnny Depp is one of the most talented and diverse actors of our current day. He's up there in the same class as Al Pacino, Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks, Russell Crowe, Robert DeNiro, Dustin Hoffman, Sean Penn, and yes, even Tom Cruise who has not yet won an Oscar either. I know that receiving an Oscar is a very rare honor and accomplishment that few Hollywood performers ever achieve. However, Mr. Depp completely encompasses each role he undertakes with such a unique approach that it would be unfortunate if he were not acknowledged by his colleagues and the Academy of Arts for he various film roles and the unique perspective he has brought to each one, by making the respective characters come to life on screen-much to the enjoyment and popularity of the viewing public. Hopefully this will be his year and if not this year, it should be soon!

I agree, he's not only hot, he's a really good actor too! Plus, he signs autographs for everyone who wants one... how many stars do you know does that? Not many, but Johnny is one of them!!! go mr depp!

I absolutely adore him. His most recent performance as Willy Wonka would've made Roald Dahl proud. I hate that I don't see him as much as actors I don't like as much, but I know that's because he doesn't accept just any role, but every role he plays he brings such human character and conviction to. He REALLY deserves an Oscar!!
