Kelowna needs a venue for Alternative/Metal/Punk.

Basically the reason that I am starting this petition is because we as musicians and fans need to voice our opinion on the lack of venues in the Kelowna area. It\'s almost like Kelowna is scared to bring in any alternative / punk / metal venues because they think it\'s not profitable or needed. We need to let them know that music is an important part of many of our lives, and that it really restricts us on showing our talent when there are no venues to play at. This is becoming a major problem because not only are we pushing our talent out onto the street, but we are also letting touring and out of town bands pass our beautiful city by because they have no place to play. I just ask you to sign if you feel that we are being discriminated against because of the genre of music we like or the people that we are. Please sign if you feel that Kelowna and surrounding area would benefit from the placement of a proper establishment for out particular genres. Please sign if you want to help out our local music talent.
Simply sign this petition if you believe in our local musicians and fans, and want a proper place for them to showcase their talent.

If I get enough signatures I will be taking this to city council and letting them know how we feel. We need our voices to be heard.
