I support this petition completely! Even though I am about to turn 14, I still think that people of young ages such as 12 should deserve a chance to work at a job if they can handle it. =)
I really want to earn some money so i can buy a nintendo DS lite, and i heard they are somewhere around 200$, but i need to get the money. it is winter, and i could offer to shovel their driveway or something, but i would need to do it many times before i would get 200$. KIds should b able tooh work because at the end of the day there relying on there parents 24/7 to get their food ahnd buy there clothes and if they've just not got the money then you moan bcoz you want fashionable clothes ahnd maybe they only want you to have the basics!!:o And also i'm pretty sure most parents in te uk wouldn't mind there kids maybe working in the nearest shopping centre maybe on a weekend to earn some pocket money. I'm nearly 13 ahnd completely bored on a saturday because if my friends aren't in then i can't really do anything whereas if i had a job i'd find myself quite occupied
i think anyone should be able to work...it dont really matter how old you are...if you have time in your life. Like after school you could be a volentier at a pet store or something. Thats what i would do. i mean im 11 and if we can get jobs at this age then that would be great. I mean how many of us dont have cell phones. What if something happened to us how are we going to contact people. i think we need jobs!
Yea i'm almost 13 and really have great intrests and plenty of time to work at a job. I think that this petition is a great idea and i would love to get a job to make some cash... I would say this is a great idea!
i agree that kids are age should be able to get jobs too because weare becoming young adults and we need to support ourselves and our families.(but mostly ourselves. i mean, let's face it, my weave ain't gonna buy itself!
i asked my local pet store with the CUTEst little pomeranian puppies for a job,(not just because of the randomnes of the situation,but because my family is broke and i needed a summer job!i LOVE ANIMALS!) but the lady was fat, crabby, and i saw the way she carelesly had put shots into the wrong place of a puppy's body, and looked like she despised everything. I asked her about applying for a summer job as politely as possible, and told her about how a hard worker i was...she just answered "your too young! ur scrawny little girl who's OBVIOUSLY not 16 and doesnt know squat about animals!MAYBE come back in 9 years..*piff*" and she walked away with a smirk.. I'm 12 years old and have never been so affended in my life!
i think that us 12 year olds are old enough to work because we are mature and we wanna make our own money to spend and not here our parents complain 2 us that there to broke and all that stuff and so we can spend our money on our self.and also to ppl that have younger sibilings dnt get as much stuff as there younger sibilings
i really think that 12 year old girls should be able to work like at a store a helper or at the food store putting food in a bag.we nees it if we whant to go out we do not have to ask parents for money. if we whant to save for college.maybe even to buy our parent and friend preasents that is way i think we should be able work.

Yes they should, I mean by the age your 12 you should be able to show your responsible anough to work. It wont just give people a bit of extra money but it'll give people something useful to do with their time too.

I Definitly agree 12 year old children should be able to work for there own money and not have to depend on there parents to support them when ever they need things.
I'm 12 and i think 12 year olds and over should have the right to work. I want to be more independant and earn my own money so i wouldn't have to count on my parent!!!
