I think us kids should be able to work. I mean if your family is in a slump or something you want to find a way to help and there isnt unless your atleast 14. If kids could work and get paid a decent amount it will teach us responsibility and that if you really wany something you have to work for it like our parents instead of just expecting to get whatever we want when we want it. I realize a kid thats 12 or 13 can be a laywer or a doctor but we could do stuff for restuarants like a busboy would do or we could even work at a school with younger children and do some little things for the teacher. Just beacuase we are young doesnt always mean were always selfish and dont understnad whats going on in the world. I know plenty and have been thorugh plenty and want to be able to help my family out and make it so im notso dependent on their incomes but my own.
Im trying to raise money to go to different places around the world. my falily loves to travel and does mission work quite often. im 12, to old to do lemonade stands, to young to get a job, but i need the money! preteens need money just as much as teens. If people think jobs are to much for us to handle, its our own choice so its us that are choosing to work. we should e able to work formoney. we can work as hard as anyone else. We need jobs!
There are so many things I could do with my friends, and so many things I could buy . I know that a 12 year old can't have a big variety of jobs, but even paper routes and baby sitting jobs ! It is a great idea to let us kids have a larger variety . Im sick of relying on my parents for money . I would like to be able to have a real job, so I can make more money. I plan to go to college and be a nurse, but I want to be able to have money to afford things before I am 20, or more. I am 13, almost 14, but I have wanted a job for quite some time now. I think that allowing children to get jobs is completely legitamite as long as the child does well in school. Obviously if they do not do well in school, they shouldn't be spending more time doing other things besides studying. But some families just need the extra money.

I am 12 and i cannot find any good jobs. I don't think it's fair that I can't work at a Resturaunt or somthing. The regular jobs for 12 year olds like mowing lawns and babysitting don't make much and i want a good job!!! Do older people not know that some we are mature and could actually work?? I think we can work just as good as 14 and 15 year olds.

the law where i live is that you have to be seventeen to work. how are you supposed to save for college if you dont get allowance. and in arizona, you cant do a lemonade stand in the summer or mow lawns. there are NO OPTIONS!
I think kids 12 and older should have a job because when they want something you don't have too go bugging your parents for money or go somewhere and mow the lawn or shovel snow for a whopping 5 bucks every time. It takes way too long too afford something unless you actually have a real job.

Kids over 8 and under 15 should be able to get some sort of non-dangerous job (eg. paper round, helping out in an office or something they are exptionaly good at) it is great way for them to earn trust, respect and responsibility. it keeps kids out of trouble and some means of earning what they want fairly instead of commiting theft. there are thousands of other reasons i can think of. just listen to us! maybe kids should have to pass a test and get a sort of liscence to get a job?

Yea I do think that 12 year olds could use a job. because if you look at college students they are always in the rut and are very low on money. how about we start to save early and then we wont be in such a rut. All of you other guys think that you need a ton of money for your needs. STOP SPENDING IT AND SAVE COLLEGE IS A LOT OF FRIGGIN MONEY. like I am looking into a college that is a privet school for art and design and it is $16,000 yearly. so I do think that I want to st6art saving for college
