this is so important because i am tires of goint to camps and things of that nature i want to make some real money.I mean it . and not by selling lemopnad or mowing loans.
i really need money.please let 12 year olds (like my self) be able to work. im in middel school and i need to start bying my own stuff. mom agrees as well. please let 12 year olds get a job. we need the money.....

Ya its really hard cause at the age of 12 thats when you start wanting more expensive stuff your parent won't buy.and its really frustrating for me since my brother and sister both have jobs and buy whatever they want
Hmm, I agree, but there should some restrictions on it, because were still kids and wre still growing up, I mean like we shouldn't be given jobs like CEO of Intel or that kinda' stuff but I guess if we can prove to the government that we are responsible enough, then they may cut us some slack (i wish i had more money too, it duz feel bad that im livin off my parents money)
I think i shouldn't just do things around the house and not get that much money plus i don't wanna take all their money like some people say on this site!
i think its not fair that we 12 year olds are not aloud to have jobs because when we are bored during the summer not being able to work to raise money for like when we go out to college and we need to pay to get in i think we should be able to work for people and have our own job. And back to the college, i think that its better to start saving up money around the age of 12 but we cant do that because nobody will let us 12 year olds work for them. And i think we would work really hard at the job we're working at because we have a lot of held up energy inside of ourselves and that will keep us going at our job. And one more thing i just don't think that it is fair that when we're all bored doing nothing during the summer and teenagers are having fun and NOT BEING BORED AND HAVE A JOB AND I JUST THINK THAT WE ARE RESPONIBILE ENOUGH FOR A JOB THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND LETTING ME SIGN THIS BYE
I think that if you are mature enough 12 year olds could do just as good or even better then the 15 year olds that work at Macdonald's or make calls. Have they forgotten that dialing numbers , we can do just as good? Well anyway... I stand for, um, letting younger get the the jobs...

i think if the person is willing and their parents allow it they should be allowed to work it is not the same as child labour we just want some money jeez!
I believe the child labor law was made because back when kids did work children were taken advantage of. I believe that if kids could be set up at regular jobs just like other employees then everything would work out. We deserve a chance to make money. I f we misbehave or do something wrong at work then we need to be fired just like an adult would be if he/she did something wrong.
I think this is a good idea! Even if the jobs are like bagging groceries at a supermarket. It should be allowed only if the 12 year old has a b average or higher in school.?This could also help teach kids to take responsibilty and learn how to save money.
i'm 14 years old and i need to save up for insurance, gas etc... if they're gonna raise prices on youth they should sure as hell let us earn the money we'll need for our future!
i really understand. some kids want something yet their parents say work for it. how? we're not old enough. i want stuff and i usually hav to wait till new years,birthday, and/or christmas.
