I think it so unfair that you have to14 to get a job. Because I’m 12 and next year I’m going to be in high school and I’m still will be just going to be 13, all of my friends will have jobs and extra money and I want. Just like I’m going to have to wait until my senior year to drive, but I can understand the driving. Since I’m a girl I like to shop I wouldn’t say I would go and blow all my money on clothes, but it’s good to have something extra. But I really want a job so I could start saying for college, I know I’m going to go, but most kids don’t. Getting a job really helps you to become more independent, hello you have to be independent in the really world. It’s like people preparing for Christmas earlier and earlier in the year, pre-teens need to start preparing for the real world earlier and earlier in life. But I know a lot of kids who just want to free-load off their parents; it’s not fair to anybody if there’re living off you and not paying you back, with something. Some kids do by having good behavior or making good grades, or just cleaning up the house for them. But me personally I want to by my mom a house and a car, before she turns 50, I don’t want my mother to have to lift a finger. Well that’s really how I feel about the subject, hope I don’t have to wait 2 year just for a summer job.

There should be jobs for twelve year olds who are willing to work and are intellectually able to do their job

12 yearold dudes should its wehn they start to mature and all im 12. and we have ntoheing to do. mowing lwns and stuff is older ppl stuff. beside they always havew aldults to do that. I deff. support this. i mean, if your dad goes to work every day from 6am until like 2pm.. then can easily drop you off/pick you up. they think we are too 'immature' to have that big of a responsibility. Its unfair, because kids these days spend money VERY quickly. One mall trip, or a day out with friends can soak up about 50 dollars! Kids need money, and asking their parents is really difficult because they need convincing and most times they say no. Child labor laws should be lowered; its not as if they're making us slaves.
