I've always wanted a job since i was about 10 and because of the labor laws it hasnt happened. I think they should change the law so that the choice is up to the child and his or her parents to decide if they want there child to have a job and if they wont let the child then why keep others from working?
I support this petition.because i WANT TO PUT some money in my collage fund and in my account. I will do work but Im tired of selling things on the street.
This law is outdated and was used to protect children from exploitation.
Many adults complain that children and are lazy and irresponsible, always asking them for money. I support lowering the working age so kids don't have to beg for money. Now THAT'S cruel to children.
kids are too stupid to have proper jobs. you need qualifications to do jobs an as you 12, you have jack. plus if you had a job, youd come out of school an then go home an get ready for work. then come home an do homework. tink about it. work is gay, belive me
i am 12 years old n i want a job so i can go shopping ever week because im tierd of goin to my mum n sayin mum can i have money n it gets on her nerves as well
I need a new job to support my dying mom and to feed my family because my dad has past away 1 year ago. my only friend is my dog rex who has cancer i need a job
INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoons olive oil
1 whole chicken, breasts removed and reserved
2 onions
2 quarts boiling water
Salt
2 bay leaves
1 large carrot
1 celery stalk
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 cup fresh parsley leaves
Ground pepper
PREP WORK
You could use the breast meat in this soup recipe but I prefer to cook them
separately in another recipe. If you do use them, wait until the soup is almost
finished and then add them back to the pot until they are cooked through.
Should only take about 8 to 10 minutes.
Dice the onion. Peel the carrots and cut them as well as the celery into 1/4 to
1/2 inch pieces then mince the fresh parsley leaves.
HOW TO MAKE AT HOME
Heat the oil in a large heavy-bottomed soup pot and sauté the breasts until
they are light brown, about 5 minutes. Remove the breasts and set aside. Add
half of the onions and sauté until translucent, approximately 4 to 5 minutes.
Remove and set aside.
Cut up the remaining parts of the chicken (not the breasts) into small pieces
to allow them to release their juices in the shortest time possible. This is the
hardest part of the recipe. If you have a meat cleaver, it makes the job easier,
but if you don’t, do the best you can with a chefs knife.
Add the pieces to the pot, and cook for 8 to 10 minutes until no longer pink.
Return the onion to the pot, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer until
the chicken releases its juices, about 20 minutes. Add boiling water, reserved
chicken breasts, 2 teaspoons of salt, and bay leaves. Cover and simmer until
chicken breasts are cooked, about 20 minutes. Increase the heat if necessary.
Remove chicken breasts and set aside. Strain and reserve broth. Skim fat
from the broth, reserving 2 tablespoons to be used to cook the vegetables.
Add the reserved fat to the soup pot and sauté the remaining onions along
with the carrot and celery for about 5 minutes. When the chicken brea
I support this petition. And I'm sick of getting 10 dollars once a week. The only real job Ican get is Baby sitting and my neighbor hood has no younger kids so i can't make any money. I have an older sister who has a real job , and she makes about 100 bucks a night in tips if i made that i would never have to bug my parents 4 money again!!
I hate to rain on your parade kids, but noe beings that im 19 and ave been down this avenue before i feel it best to give you a small dose of reality. First off the reason that we even have child labor laws is so companys dont exploit children and turn them into a cheap labor sorce(kinda like they already do with the mexicans). Secondly most of the jobs avalible to 14 year old and up now-a-days, jave a great number of restrictions on them. One such restrictions is te number of hours you can work per week and if im not correct I believe its only 15. My gusse is that if they ever did allow you to get jobs there wuld be even more restrictions.
Besides you kids are still young i wouldnt worry about working too soon , because you realize tat you will spend at leats untill you are 55-75 years oold working depending on what you do in the future. Again as a 19 yearold who has travled down this road before, Id advise you to just enjoy yourselve for right now age 14 will come soon enough.
i agrre that 12 year olds should be able to get a jobs its not fair i want a job so i can get money to get all the stuff i want cause mum and dad said i have to save up my own money to get my stuff
Thank You finally someone agrees with me i hate the child labor law i want a new cell phone and i am willing to work but there is no place for kids to work i gladly sign this petition 12 years old Pennsylvania
I agree that kids 12 or older should be able to have a job because it would help with college funds alot ealier, when you get older and move out you would have money to help find a home, kids could help parents with food or anything else needed for the family sand there are so many other things that this subject can support.
I support this because not only adults need things but kids do to and we need things were very materiallistiv and are parents keep on telling us "well how about you go out and start working "yeah to bad i cant
I support this petition because i like to buy alot of people gifts for the holidays and there is no way to earn all that money. I also go skating everyweekend and can't pay my own way in and it is $10 for skates and admission plus food and drinks and games because i am there for 12 hours. there is just no way to earn all that money.
I support this petition.12 years old and dnt have a job everyone in my house accept for my younger sisster even my 14 year old brother has a job im sick of asking for money. because i dnt wat to pay them backevery time i do get money i have to pay them back it sucks
I support this petition becauseso 12 year olds are saving for the future and if you dont start early then you never can save enoth i want to go to amrica in 2 years but in to years i'll be 14 and it will be to late
I support this petition. It isn't only adults that need $money$. Us kids also like to buy items as well and the only way of getting it is through waiting forever until we're 16 to get a real job. Until then we must make lemonade and do chores.
I support this petition.
im under 12 and i hate asking my mum for money because she is always broke because she has to pay for all my school stuff ..... i want money so i can buy my own stuff for school and clothes and that kind of stuff..
I support this petition. 12 year olds obviously need to pay for things themsleves, this would be an exellent way to ensure that your child has good reponsibility... and also they wont always be nagging u for money for stupid things. It would be their money, and their reponsibility on how they handle their money. Also think about how some kids would like to put job money towards educational and extra curricular things, or maybe they are saving up for an important thing in the future... a house, a car... possibly money to start a dream business. Children have imaginations much more than many adults and may creativly use this money towards very good things. Also, kids can remember things, we aren't dumb, we can clean, we're not helpless, we can type, its not that hard (once you practice a bit), AND WE DO NOT HAVE THE BRAIN SIZE OF A TWO YEAR OLD! simple math isnt hard for most of us, and simply saying, do you want fries with that? doesnt take much lung capacity. So give this a chance, we have lives too, and to support ourselves instead of depending on others, we need jobs.
