I want to buy some things that I am interested in. Like video games, iPods, digital cameras, and more. Yes I would prefer a computer of my own. The fact that we aren't old enough doesn't prove anything. Don't think I'm a nerd or a geek because I'm not. But I have to agree that almost 50% of the kids are iresponsible. So if that's the case then why don't they let us get jobs and ban the other kids. If they are that snobby then why not let us take a test or something. I support this petition. We (being the mature population) is extremely responsible to handle a job. I am 12 and this is the petition that I have been waiting for. The risk of blemishing our resume is slim and our responsiblity and maturity will significantly increase. I reject the idea that we should be force to work be fully and undividedly support the idea of willingly handling a job. At 12, this is the time where are minds truely learn. What we learn now will affect us later. Think of the experience, the knowledge to be gained. In this time, the middle of Pueberty, 12, we really live. Younger, we couldn't apprieciante it. And later, we will have to work or we will die. But now, we can really enjoy everything and anything. If we waste this time, we miss out on life. If we, (because money is the root of enjoyment) have more than regular allowance, we can purchase equipment to get the most out of the highlight of our life. do you think, That we can buy a Laptop on a weekly allowance of $10? No, but even as that cashier at White Castle or Burger King can help us reach our goal. And through the best way, we aren't asking parent to purchase it for us, because if they did buy it for us, we wouldn't appreciate it, because we don't know what work was put in to buy this Laptop. But if we, the Young Adults, buy the Laptop with our time, determination, money and energy, we appreciate that item. We know what went into buying that Laptop. I'm saving up for a vacation to surprise my mom. She works so hard all day and I deserve one too! Besides, our family is having some problems, I think it will help alot for me to get my own money. Also,then us "kids" won't have to bug you adults ALL THE TIME about money. I mean half the time you don't even give it to us. Plus, it will teach us about responsibility and the value of money because we'd be working HARD for it.
