Protecting these families is more important then a movie that most people will watch and forget about an hour later. Protecting these young children and families who have already suffered so much is a priortiy! It seems like they were underpaid as well, maybe this movie shouldn't even be realeased.

i am reading this novel in high school and though i was shocked about the rape scene in the novel, it was still a good book. In my opinion, i think if the raped scene was shown in new movie they're making, it will bring shame to thier community and ruin thier lives. I believe if you mention the rape scene(which i personally don't belive in), do it IMPLICITLY!!

It is interesting that nobody thought about this before making the movie. Couldn't they bring them to US as refugees before put them in such a dangerous situation? They must save those kids and their families from more hardship. It's enough what they are going through in Afghanistan as it is.

why should we put children in danger by bringing them to play in film? well, you may say the making of the film can bring more attention to Khalid's novel, but what if the children or their families are going to be harmed in some ways as the result? Do you think te film should be made even if it endangers the lives of the children who played roles in it?

Even if only 3 lives could be turned for the better as a result of this creative effort, then it will be worth it. Let our voice be heard so that the Hollywood filmmakers would be aware of the real problems experienced by their little actors!
