OH YA!! please do this we need to have more heritage grounds.this is somthing that our kids and future generations need to see!! what a great thing for families to do!! ALL FOR IT YES!!!!
I support this petition. Langley Speedway was my "Holy ground" growing up as a child watching my father race there from '67 to '80. I race wheel to wheel with my father today, and my wish has always been to run with him a lap at Langley. I was not old enough to drive when it closed. Oh, the memories of that magical place!
The track shouldn't of being closed in the first place. Racing is a great family outing; as racers or spectators. You take more of these areas away, they never come back. And never is a long time. It needs to be saved and reopened. I support this petition 110%.
I support this petition. As i grew up at that race track and I feel that ther should be a place for kids to go instead of hanging around the streets to get into trouble!!!
I support this petition.I also believe that Langley Speedway should be RE OPENED!. A Speedway in that neck of the woods is imparitive to keeping the streets safer from Street Drag Racing. The closure of this great facility years ago, shows that the council at the time had no vision and were not progressive in their thinking, which in my mind has led to many un neccesary deaths on the streets of the lower mainland.
I am in full favor of the race track. As a child i watched my father race at langley speedway several times, for years. My father has just recently passed on.These memmories are my fondest memmories of my father. Its time people stood up for what matters. A race track is a family affair and if those people opposed would not be so narrow minded and realize these places are for families.A kid that goes to the track is a kid that doesnt race on the street.A kid thats not on the steet is a kid that stays of drugs. The Love of cars is larger now than ever, and is ours to pass on to generations to come. Yours truly Ty Nicholls.
I support this petition. As a spectator at Digney Speedway in the '50's and a participant in Haney and Langley in the '60's,I feel it's imperitive to preserve the last remaining track in the lower mainland area.
I support this petition and the effort of the people who are working so hard to make this come about. I spent many years circling that race track enjoying every lap, and would love nothing more to see Langley Speedway recieve life again. Thanks
While I never attended races at Langley I have met, and was befriended by, many that did including some drivers. They and the heritage they have brought us continues to be a big part of my life to this day. I support this petition.
